my reply to the above

I did not forget about the tournament. I had no idea about it and as a microstakes cash player I normally pay no attention to tournament freeroll promotions. Having said that, If I was notified that I qualified for a freeroll $25000 tournament in advance, even though I previously knew nothing about it, my reaction would have been positive towards your site.

Logging in and finding I was essentially blinding out of a $25000 tournament that I knew nothing about my reaction was negative towards your site.

No further reply is requested.

the promo was displayed in the client all month, and the progress tab worked all month.
the tournament was in the tournament tab for weeks with the time and date listed. Merge has ****ed up a lot of things lately (even 2night i guess lol, some1 ****ed up bad) but imo the 25k freeroll isn't one of their screw-ups.

Just your nightly Midnight CST reminder that your client is gonna crash/lag/suck/lose you money/glitch as per usual. That is all

P.S. FIX YOUR HORRIBLE CLIENT. You know with it looking more and more like internet poker is going to return to the U.S. ... you would THINK that merge would do something about their HORRIBLE software, but, they know they are the only show in town..... sad really, they could be so good.

Their client is actually quite good, and you have it backwards. If US i poker goes live Merge will most likely be a ghost town over night. The US isn't letting this scummy network in.

Um.....Freeroll Fury promotion started today. If you're not trying to qualify via MTTs/SNGs how the hell are you supposed to know if/when you've hit the 15 points in rake target? I don't see anywhere that will display either daily or cumulative VIP points.

Help? Thanks.

^If you already played some today try registering.

No need for ticket, once you meet the requirements it'll let you reg.

But yea where do we see our points? I cant find them.

True, but I'd rather not be playing guessing games or piss away more than I need to to qualify.

For a $500 prize pool I don't think it's worth more than the $1.50 buy-in it esssentially is.

You can track it in the 2 a day promo. It doesn't update immediately and I don't know if it continues after you miss a day. If you don't have PT or HEM I don't know of any other way anymore.

Has it been determined that late reg cuts off once the bubble bursts? I don't remember. I wonder what would happen in a smallish tourney like this one if it got down to one player but late reg was still open.

That was my point. I mean that with it looking like the U.S. will eventually approve online poker you would THINK they would be getting ready and fix their problems. However, their client is horrible. Unless you deem "quite good" to be inline with it constantly crashing at certain times, no D/C protection, and blocks of connectivity problems.

10cents in rake = 1 point, should be pretty easy to keep track yourself. if you're cutting it close remember the points are credited when the game ends, and *i think* lobby time is central (eastern +1).

late reg ends if the bubble pops, but there's a bit of lag updating the list of players in the tourney lobby. i've seen it say 55 players left right when late reg ended, and 30 seconds later there were 70.

What is it that Merge is supposed to be getting ready for?

Ha, think I've seen it get down to 2 before and everyone who busts just keeps rebuying anyway....i've seen it go from 2 to 15 in <minute, so idiots will still be rebuying for 2bbs until it is actually closed. It's why stacks become so horrific and bubbles take as long as they do. They turn a 1.5 hr with 80 to first mtt into a 4 hr drama fest...kills your hourly as well. Why I've skipped playing some of the deeper micro mtts.

That's if I was bothering with the 2 A Day which I don't because I don't force myself to play everyday just to get VIP points. *sigh*

Thanks, but I'm aware of the conversion rate.

Little hard to track at the cash tables while you're playing and seems stupid to have to leave -- and maybe have to reseat -- in order to see how many have been wrung up so far. *ugh*

Losing the majority of their customer base. I think he's under the impression that Merge is going to be allowed to operate in the US if they pass legislation.

Merge software is some of the best in the world though.

That sucks that the promotion failed what a bummer. I got a question about the points that you earn. What can those points be used for?
