When a USA player receivs a check these days, sometimes its a Canadian check drawn on a Canadian bank in US Funds. If it has a 9 digit ABA routing number, it will usually sail right thru the system. If however, it has an 8 digit ABA routing number, thes best course of action imo is to point this out to the bank teller because there is a slightly different procedure that they need to do to handle this. If its a large nationwide bank like BAC, WFC, etc its usually not a huge obstacle. If it s a small regional bank it will prob need ot go thru the collections process which can takes weeks or more. If you dont say anything and its an 8 digit routing number, and the teller doesnt catch it, it may be rejected by your bank and create the appearance of a bounced check.

If this is true, this could be a major reason behind people with "bounced" checks, couldn't it?

Requested: 7-24

Still nothing

So nice of them to approve people who requested cashouts AFTER me...really makes me want to play there.

I am interested in an alternate explanation, I took this check to multiple banks and got the same story everywhere. Either way I am waiting for a new check now, JS promised that it would be immediately processed 2 days ago, so I will see what "immediately" means to them.

They never even tried to process your check so there is no way to tell if would have bounced. If I were to take a crayon and write payable to xboxlive1990 on a sheet of paper for $100 and through some bank numbers and routing numbers down what do you think the bank is going to say? The same thing they said when you tried to deposit your JS check. But would you say my crayon check bounced?

I'm not trying to get into an argument I'm just saying your check didn't bounce.

The check looks like other checks I have gotten from cake, same bank, same watermarks, etc. I have never had a problem with another cake check. Anyone else have experience with hit and miss checks from cake? Any correlation with the switch to Juicy Steaks?

Years ago (before most of the crackdowns, but still coming from different countries.) I took 2 poker checks in for $3000 each and tried to cash them. They claimed they were fake, closed my account for investigation and treated me like a thief. I contacted the poker company and they said they were good and I needed a better explanation from the bank. Went back to the bank and asked them again. They got a manager to look into it more and after a half hour they came back saying the checks were indeed good.

Not once did they apologize for giving me ****. Anyways.. moral of story.. is the checks very well may have been ok.

Requested $2000 cashout at Cake in July. Check received on 10/09. Cashed on 10/10 and cleared on 10/11. It seems that the cake-to-juicy conversion indeed helped a lot. Now I am willing to play more on Juicy.

I requested a cashout from Cake Poker on 9/26 to Moneybookers and still haven't received it. I saw a thread about slow non-US player cashouts on Lock but had heard Cake has a separate cashier and hadn't seen anything yet about slow Cake cashouts to non-US players (guess all Cake players are non-US now that US has moved to Juicy Stakes).

Cake --> Juicy really killed any ability to sell Cake in the market so I hope you guys get reasonable cashout times because I don't know how else you can get the money off.

From what I know via my affiliate, Cake switching their players to Juicy is basically nothing more than a name change - same people are running both sites.

what would you guys suggest for a US player wanting to transfer money onto Juicy or Carbon. FYI I got $50 on a prepaid mastercard from walmart. I do not want to put more than that on any site. Plz I could use some guidance!

Also which payment method would you recommend. Eco card? Web money? I will be using Juicy stakes skin. (keep in mind us player obviously otherwise I wouldn't be on this thread)

NEW_GUY, if you're comfortable with some risk, the best way to get money on the site would likely be a player transfer, since you'll be able to get more than what you paid for.

well I would be willing to have someone transfer funds in exchange for my card number seeing as it is a prepaid visa not linked to my bank account or i could do paypal. I just don't know who would be interested and trustworthy. IF someone here would like to work something out in exchange for $50 usd I am certaintly willing to talk as I know it would saave me the trouble of trying to get money on the site and also save someone's cashout issues. WIN WIN

I would be mainly interested in doing this on Carbon poker if anyone can? my name on Carbon is NEWGUY925. I would GREATLY appreciate if anyone can help me out I will give you $50 and could send you a check if wanted in exchange for you transferring the funds to my account on Carbon. I am a college student and I recognize the importance of money trust me I would never screw any fellow 2+2 ers or anyone for that matter.
