And some. All of the top rooms with the exception of Bet365 offer high level rake back so the statement about abolishing rake back is a joke.

Re: iPoker confirm network split to iPoker2

Some people are mentioning the skins that don’t meet the requirements to be in the big network will fold, and even get a withdrawal runs on them but there is a more positive possibility for these skins which is to merge together or into a big skin. This has already happened in between when the rumour of the network split started and now with chilli poker merging with poker770. I heard the main reason was so both rooms could survive this split and make it into the main pool.

Surely there could be a short term benefit of those high new and active player requirements to be on the main network for us ipoker users with the different skins offering bigger bonuses and incentives to compete for business no?

This is a BIG deal for ipoker, they must have got serious pressure from the big skins to the point where they actually believed the big skins would break away from the network all together if it wasn’t done.

First post BTW

I got told by my affiliate that RB deals wont be grandfathered and there will be NO RB at all when they move over more VIP led deals. The sites are hoping to spend more on advertising to attract more recreational players to make up for that. I dont rely on RB, but its nice perk esp at the 50%+ levels, I dont see how they are going to create a more fishier player pool - I guess alot of money pumped into advertising and attracting more recreational player would help and I wish this were the case but I'm not sure its as easy as that. Lets hope it is.

I don't hate this in theory, but I'm sure I will in practice.

exactly, the high% offers you get on this network now are almost invariably with one of these big bookmaker indignados who seem to be pushing for the split.

I'd be surprised if Expekt and Mansion make it in though. And Gentings come to that.
The reason I included those 3 as well is that they have big player bases for casino/sports betting, and so will likely not have a problem achieving those targets.

I wonder if IPOKER will still hold their last cycle of SNG high gear now which starts in 2 days

Of course they will, no reason in the world to think otherwise. BTW on my skins the cycle that starts in 2 days is second of three cycles, ie not the the last one.

I've heard from a usually well informed source that the "split" will only affect NL100 and lower.

Re: iPoker confirm network split to iPoker2

I think this is a bad move by Playtech and has put in place to benefit only Titan/Williamhill – I feel for the smaller rooms who are working hard to build there active player pools and as soon as the higher raking players find out will leave to join a skin that they know they can get a game.

Not only is it bad for poker it’s bad for staff in some of the smaller companies because this will cause job cuts also – I think Playtech haven’t thought this through 100% and I hope it back fires!

Some skins have only recently joined ipoker network – I wonder if they were made away of this during contract negotiations.
