Strange I must have missed the offer 10 days ago. Are rakeback accounts eligible for the reloads?

Re: ***Intertops Poker - Official Support & Promotions Thread***

I would like to ask about the withdrawal fees for US players. Intertops only offers 2 methods currently for US players---check and Western Union (they are not doing wire transfer at present for US players for some unexplained reason). They charge a $70 fee for Western Union, and $50 for a check. I only have $213 in my account and so I would have to pay 1/3 of it in fees to withdraw via Western Union (the method I used to deposit) and 25% of it in fees if I get a check?!

I only paid $12 via Western Union to deposit my $200 and now they want $70 to send me back the SAME $200?! Six times as much for them to send it to me as it was for me to send it to them---really?? This is fair treatment of their customers?

I am sorry, that is outrageous. I got free withdrawal from Lock Poker, Black Chip Poker, Absolute Poker, PokerStars and Full Tilt (back when they were operating in the US) and only paid $10 at Minted Poker to withdraw money. Intertops claimed it was their "Merchants" that charged the huge fees and not their fault, then why can all these other poker sites process withdrawals for free?

How can they expect US players to want to play on their site when they charge so much in fees to withdraw money, and only offer two methods to US players (not even bank transfer anymore)?? Unless this is changed or a very good explanation is given, I do not intend to play there ever again. Having to pay 33% of my account balance in fees to withdraw the money is unheard of and unacceptable, I hope that other US players playing on Intertops read this and take notice!!

That is definitely crazy. $70 in fees for Western Union is price gouging. This means someone is making money on your withdrawal via Western Union.

Re: ***Intertops Poker - Official Support & Promotions Thread***

Can an Intertops affiliate please explain why ALL the other poker sites I listed can give free withdrawals to their customers, and Intertops charges an arm and a leg?? US players need to know about this before they start playing there, because when they go to get their money out they will get gouged just like I did. Why should we play there if its going to cost us so much just to get our money out?? If all these other sites can give free or very inexpensive withdrawals and Intertops claims they cannot, they have to be making extra money on our withdrawals (at our expense).

it's up to the sites how much they charge

Bodog doesn't give rakeback, most Merge skins do NOT offer WU payouts and they charge $15 for checks. Bodog you get ONE free check per month, $50 thereafter (same as Intertops price). Cake, well, Cake takes 4 months to pay. Everleaf paid me free WU in a couple days, but that now takes a month last time I checked not to mention their Euro rake is ABSURD.

I chose Intertops knowing full well it would cost me $50 to get a check.

Cliffs: Sites can charge what they want. Some sites collect more rake while others give no rakeback. There is more to the situation than just looking at how much a cash out costs. You have to remember Intertops is a sportsbook, they are better off if it is difficult to cash out. Also, they really don't want to be sending out a lot of small checks in the current US environment. If you want friendly payouts for small stakes I recommend you take advantage of Bodog's 1 free check/month.

P.S. Intertops payout fees/information is publicly available information and has been posted in this thread numerous times. It is up to the customer to be informed.

I'd rather pay $50 for a check that comes in a week then get a free one that takes 4 months. Priorities, get em straight.

You have to remember Intertops is a sportsbook, they are better off if it is difficult to cash out.

This is the key item! They want you to keep your money on the site, so they make deposits easy and cheap and make withdrawals hard and expensive. Bodog may only give one free check per month and then charge $50, but who needs more than one withdrawal per month?? I am fine with that, but Intertops will not even give ONE free or inexpensive withdrawal. It takes a ton of rakeback to get the $50 or $70 fee back.......

And I guess people definitely have different priorities, because I would rather wait 4 months and get a free check than pay $50 and get it in a week, when that $50 represents 25% of my withdrawal amount!!!

Imagine being a grinder that lives off your poker winnings, and needs to make a withdrawal every month. That would be $50 to $70 every month to get your money out, over $600 per year!? It would take a TON of rakeback to make up for that, Intertops has quite a nice racket going here.

CF you need to relax a little bit, it's unhealthy to be so angry at a situation you have no control over.

It's up to each site and each player to decide where they get the most value. I paid thousands of dollars in rake to Bodog over the years and got ~2% rakeback. I played there because I was willing to pay for their service.

Intertops can do whatever they please. You had your chance to say, "hey Intertops charges a lot for micro stakes players." We don't need to have an ongoing discussion about the issue. You spoke your mind and that's great.

P.S. I've paid hundreds, if not thousands in payout fees (usually wires, but some check fees as well). It's part of the business. If you can't afford the payout fees, look for a different site, move up stakes, or just realize you're not going to make a lot of money when playing w/ $200 bankroll.

Re: ***Intertops Poker - Official Support & Promotions Thread***

Obviously Intertops can do whatever they want, but that does not make it right. If people never speak out in situations like that and just say "I have no control, so I will let it go" then things never change. I have spoken my opinion and so I will leave it at that, but staying silent just because I don't run the site is not a solution.

Run it up to a decent amount to cash out or lose it. Cashing out $200 is ridiculous.
