It was the only "false positive" I had gotten from that site and it happened 2 hours or so after I posted a drunken pissed off rant on 2+2.

This was then followed by 3 more "false positives" a few hours later. This was the only time that has happened, all on the same day, shortly after the post.

Then when I checked my email. They sent me a twist the knife email 40 min after the 2+2 post. At 4.30am est. Which was strange.

If it wasn't an attack the timing was alittle strange? No?

Half of the iPoker clients were flagged by my anti virus, simply because it recognizes the casino part of the software as potential threat. Yet it didn't find any virus, trojan or w/e.
All you say is that" I will not answer silly questions Please provide all your info it's standard"

Well I provided a list where it isn't standard. Where's your's that says it is standard.

Some of us don't think personal info and it's uses, or abuses are silly.

Again not one of my questions answered.

I must be "crazy" to wonder what my personal info is being used for and by whom?

I should just "trust" that the fictious entity known as Interpops from who knows where, has my best interest at hand? When they refuse to answer any questions about anything.

Just its standard please bend over now.

Never should be playing online poker in the current environment if you're going to act like this. Go play live or quit IMO

I have been playing online poker for over six years and have played millions of hands. I have played on five different sites and cashed out a fair bit. In so doing, I have provided personal information to all the sites including bank statements, copies of utility bills, copies of my driver's license, and lots of other personal information. I have never had any problems with any site (I never played on UB or AP, fwiw).

When I registered for Intertops, the first thing I did was email them and ask what information they needed to verify my account for cashouts, even though I had not even started play yet. I did this because, yes, it is completely standard for these sites to request this personal information to process your eventual cashout requests.

If you don't like it, don't play online poker, but that is just the way it is. Intertops is not unique in this regard, so please stop your ranting here.

I hope for your own sake that you don't have an account on Facebook or any other social network nor use your credit card for any kind of purchase online. If you are soooo afraid of identity theft, just quit the internet and explore real life.

I am trying to quit. And cashout so I agree.

How am I acting? I am concerned and asking questions? Hopefully others will find this valuable. As I wished I would have know this before I signed up there.

Trust me, I wish I didnt have to be here doing this. I have tried email, pm, posts. To no avail

Again this is all over a PP number, and photo that I blocked out. The rest was visible age, address, expiration. This all matched with what I signed up with. Also sent cc letterhead w/ matching info.

So why is the photo and number so "valuable" to them? To send a check????

Wouldn't have been easier just to send the check?

Sorry to anyone I apparently am offending. I wish I could just forget about this and move on...

I have no facebook, twitty, or whatever. I very much agree with the exploring real life. Wish I could get back to that instead of being here that is for sure.

I to have been playing for 6+ years and cashed out on all the 6 site's mentioned previously. Never once did they even ask to verify, other then email. Let alone ask for account info and PP#'s. Not so standard in my experience.

This was the first time and the last.

if you've never been asked to verify an account, you are the luckiest human being on the face of the planet

Stars even asked for SS# to make echeck deposits

I got on stars pretty early 05. I understand that things have changed for stars after black friday. Stars is the only poker site I would think about sending such info. As they are as forthcoming and professional as possible, all things considered.

I always got checks and once had a ecash?( forget the real name) thing once, that was pre verified.

But of the sites left for usa, BD, Minted, have not asked for anything.

Although Minted called me up to "verify" on my deposit which was fine.

If you've seen how I have run you would not say that:/

I would never give out my SS# to anyone.

Case in point I just got my Concealed Carry Permit paper. It says that giving your ss# is voluntary and not needed.
