'This is the answer I got from Payments:

"The customer has not provided the required documents.

The documents sent were not legible and therefore could not be accepted, customer was advised accordingly.

Once the documents are received he can then request a payout."

Things would have progressed a lot faster if you had responded to the Intertops Rep when he offered to assist, both in this thread and by PM to you.

This is going out as a warning to members, and a progress report of my case.

I have been trying to deal with a rep from intertops now for a few months with no help, or answers.

After playing there for less than a week, I decided to cashout or at least try.
I was asked to send info to "verify" who I was. So, I sent everything in, that they asked for except for a passport number and photo, they were blacked out. They then told me that the photo and number were the most important part and was needed to cashout.

I asked why? After all, none of this was needed to open an account. I was told it was standard and should just send. I asked why the "security" measures were needed to send a check? No answer other then send or get jacked.

I then came here to 2+2 to vent and to ask more questions, all of which were met by non responses or "its standard" and part of the terms and conditions. Since the terms and conditions was the last and only straw they could grasp at, for robbing me, I decided to reread the terms and conditions found here


2 REGISTRATION: To use INTERTOPS's services, You must first open an account by entering a unique and valid e-mail address and associated password. To deposit funds to Your account, You must enter Your first and last name, address and telephone number. You agree to provide only true and current information and You further agree to update this information as necessary to keep it true and up-to-date. You also agree to allow the Intertops software to take a digital fingerprint of Your computer for security reasons. The fingerprint comprises of a set of numbers including IP configuration which is stored along with Your account information. When opening a play money account at INTERTOPS, You will be able to access the following: play money games, play money tournaments. With a real money account, You can access real money games and real money tournaments.

^This shows what you need to open an account name, email, address. Notice no mention of photo, pp# or bank/credit info.

9 SECURITY CHECKS, REVIEWS AND RELEASES: INTERTOPS reserves the right to verify Your identity and the fidelity of the information YOU HAVE SUPPLIED by making various security and ID checks.

^ Here they say they want to check the truthfulness of the info YOU HAVE PROVIDED. Well what did we have to provide? see 2.

This was the point I tried to make before in the intertops thread. What could they "verify" the photo and # against? If they only have the info I needed to provide name, email,age,address. But they do not answer.

This brings up the question of why is this photo and pp# so valuable to them? If they can't actually "verify" anything? I can only postulate as to what their intentions are since they will not answer for themselves. But it cannot be on the up and up. My guess is they are selling this info or are establishing a database for??

Anyways this is their excuse for robbing me, that they need to "protect" me or them by "verifying" info they cannot verify. Even though it clearly goes against their own terms and conditions. Even though I offered to take WU, MG, or bank transfer and verify in person, or to send a signed notary statement verifying my info. Even though I just got a holiday mailer from intertops with my SN on it. Even though I have the receipt of my deposit. Even though I have never been accused of any wrong doing.

So I have been Officially Robbed by Intertops.

I'm not sure I get it. When you check into a hotel in nearly any foreign country, they generally will photocopy your passport, including the photo and ID number. I've often had to hand over my passport to people in banks, post offices, job interview situations, etc. while living overseas, and they would have had equal opportunity to quickly photocopy it as well. I don't think (and I may be naive) that any of these people are seeking to sell the info there, particularly not the photo (unless it's to modeling companies ).
You seem to be tilting at windmills, so to speak. Most likely they are not seeking to sell your info, but have simply decided, as companies will, that this is the security procedure they will follow, for no good reason other than that's what their security people came up with to prove they were worth the cost of hiring. In all likelihood, they are simply copying other sites' security practices.
Good luck, but I don't think this is a battle you are destined to make progress in, much less win.
