Ignition, identity fraud? Ignition, identity fraud?

Has anyone else had their identity stolen recently with bank fraud charges happening from depositing on Ignition using their credit card? I used 2 cards on just those sites and both have been compromised in the past 3 days. Anyone else experience this issue?

Talked to ignition over the phone they claim it wasn't them, literally only thing I use my card for so has to be. They said how do you know it was our processor, then asked what their processors name was? How the heck am I going to know the name of their 3rd party processor? I think this might be the last time I play on ignition but I do like the ko tourneys they offer and the soft play.

Without commenting either way on your predicament, I'd just like to offer you some advice for the future. Use bitcoin for your online poker needs. It will make your life much smoother.

I generally use bitcoin but this was during the period that it wasnt working July 30-August 1st window. Hate that my card info was leak and hate even more that ignition hasn't helped me worth crap.

If the cards were never used in person and the only transactions were online, I would suggest you check your computer for a trojan.

Thanks for the advice, I have virus protection on my computer so I know its not that. It's just ****ty ignition and them leaking data.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. FYI, I kno of at least 1 person that had a backup CC that was never used or brought outside of there home. And the CC was still compromised. Gl

Yeah, it's crazy I don't take 1 of my cards out the house yet it was compromised. It sucks because ignition didn't do crap to help me out with it. Most sites would compensate you for their mistake but they keep saying random bull****.

Have not heard of this, I used a credit/debit card back when it was bovada but never any issues. Ignition uses 3rd party processors so there is always a chance, anyone putting cc info into ignition cashier knows this risk (or should!). Certainly sucks though, I hope things can get resolved for you.

Also just having an anti virus, don't assume computer is safe. Do you also have an active malware/spyware? Malware bytes?

As an IT specialist, I'd like to back those two statements.
A 3rd party data leak is possible, but a trojan that got through defences is just soo much more probable.

This...

It's not Ignition making the charges or having your info breached, its someone at the processor they are using who is maliciously accessing your data and doing fraud... it sucks, but its a known part of the game.

It's happened to me with BetOnline and also with another sportsbook TopBet

I've checked my computer, have virus protection, ran malware remover and nothings on here. Sites a joke. Love the soft play and I know I should use bitcoin to deposit but sometimes bitcoins take all day to go through

Like mentioned before it's part of doing business in the current landscape of online poker. Just dispute the charges with your bank and move on.

Could be an amazing coincidence, but a few days after using my card with Ignition, a mysterious over the top charge was made at a gas station 200 miles from where I was. Well over $100 at a gas station. Now again, this could be a coincidence, but it was directly after dealing with ignition for the first time ever, and I haven't had a single instance of my card being compromised before this.

Switched to bitcoin and will never use something different as long as it is an option.

Ignition only accepts bitcoin out of that list. In fact, none of the Pai Wang Luo network accepts Skrill, Neteller, or any other ewallet.
