this is subject to change.

Re: I Got My PokerStars RSA SecureID Token Today! *PIC*

I agree - Stars is great - FTP needs this as well.

I've been using mine, and I feel much more secure when holding more funds in my account.

The only thing that has sucked has been having to log back in after a disconnect with the RSA device while multi-tabling. More hands get missed. I have also had a glitch where I had new tourneys popping up and it showed me as sitting out and I couldn't access those tables, so .I had to close PS and log back in - This caused me to miss some hands

Overall - I feel much more secure with this and am glad I have one.

I def. recommend getting one, and I feel that these glitches are being worked out by PS.

PS Rocks.

WTF, the RSA token for a warcraft account costs $6.50. This pricing is pretty ridiculous.

Re: I Got My PokerStars RSA SecureID Token Today! *PIC*

Just ordered one today for 6000 FPP.

I read in another forum that there are differences between the types of tokens (durability, level of security - length of code) and so there are different prices.

In my Stars Store it is.

I wrote them in january that I am interested in that RSA thing and they put me in some sort of extra user group list for that thing.

But in the email I received today they also wrote they will make it available to everyone "in coming days".

They're likely just rolling it out to a select few with interest in it. This isn't the type of thing you just roll out to everyone at once and hope it works.

They've already been testing it for months, so i wont be too surprised if they do make it available to everybody soon.

I want to get one soon, but I'm not interested in paying 15x the going rate. I'll wait until they give in to outrage and pressure. Get spamming their support with complaints 2+2 gang.

Stars should've made it like 5972 FPPs and claimed they were offering them at cost.

Re: I Got My PokerStars RSA SecureID Token Today! *PIC*

6k FPPs does seem like a high price point. Google Shopping has 2 vendors selling the RSA SecurID 700s (which look the same as the picture in the OP) for $35 after shipping.

Would the tokens I buy from a 3rd party vendor be interchangeable with the ones PokerStars sells me?

Edit: Looking at some other listings, the price depends heavily on how long the tokens are meant to last. The $35 ones claim to have 2-year lives but other listings have 4-year lives for $60 each (but come in packs of 100) or 5-year lives for $70 (250 packs).

PokerStars doesn't make any profit on the RSA Security Token - the FPP cost is what it costs us to purchase and send the token to you.

It is conceptually possible - but you would need to send us the seed file that RSA provides and I can't guarantee that we could do this. If you're in a position to do this, send an email to gamesecurity@pokerstars.com and we can talk more.

We also expect these tokens to operate for 3-5 years. That works out to be a cost of less than 38FPPs per week, which we think is fairly reasonable.
