Hey guys , some of you maybe know me as grinder1992 on Stars. I found useful to share with you how I got scammed today just to prevent you get scammed the same way.

By this time I had the stars lobby opened and got the message saying that my account is temporary suspended or something like this , so it was a very good timing they got and that made me believe them so I started providing the info they requested. So i started feel really weird and I kinda think they got me bad because this was about the time me session should have started so I really wanted to fix the things faster...

Pretty much by this time i had already started my corresponding with the real stars security and they told me not to go on with this "chat" . Well I was not gonna give away any info about passwords anyway (and I started feeling better after they asked for the pass , cuz they did not have it )
Few things to point out : I asked the stars legit support if this email address is officially coming from them or not and I got this answer :

Also I was asking urgently for someone of the stars staff to call me but I got the call like 3-4 hours later , long after the Russian guys failed . Anyway I got my stars account reinstated and started playing right away (that`s when I got the call from stars) . They pretty much explained that such phishing attacks are occurring more and more often nowadays and gave me some basic advice on how to protect my account harder. So i went on playing pretty calm until I got the call from Skrill... They started the conversation with ok , you just spoke to my colleague but I wanted to check you on your costa rican number ... So these guys had spoke to skrill in russian and made them remove my security token feature (i got token on stars too) using the photos i gave them to prove my identity and were just about to request password change (and also email change) but I guess I got lucky because at the point they requested a screenshot from my skrill acc , I alarmed skrill to lock my transactions temporary until I found out what was going on. So basically that saved my ass because otherwise with no problems these guys would`ve gotten to my skrill account and sent my money to their skrill and GG me... So afterwards I alarmed all the sites I play on to never accept any passport photos coming from me as proof of identity and so on , changed my passwords and now I am kinda afraid about the thing someone could do with anyone`s personal data but who knows , I just hope I get lucky. Also when the real stars security department answered me , I asked all my facebook poker friends to send an email to stars and tell them I informed them my account was hacked by the real ME was using my original email address (because I was kinda afraid Stars might get lost between the guys pretending to be me and the real ME) which resulted in several times freezing and reinstating my account while my tables were still going
So my skrill is still frozen but it has been a long day and I am going to fix it tomorrow and I could just add : try to use the stars software for corresponding to them , because with the mail you could never be sure !

you might also want to delete your email address/part of your name from those screenshots

You'll want to delete your E-mail + phone and any other info I skimmed over that may be harmful to you.

Also, starsaccount.net is a real phishing site and fairly well made if you go to the website at first glance.. Make sure to report this to Stars as they may be able to get it shut down.

Happy that everything ended well for you. And obv noce for you told this to remind us all be aware when someone starts to ask your details it might be a scam. Oh and obv that skrill aint that safe even of you have that token. Do not keep money there that you can't afford to lose.

I got simular initial mail while ago i just ignore it and insta change mail and paswords to all my poker accounts, i dontwant to tell why it make me suspicious because scamers probably reading this and i dont want them to improve, i jst want to say that thair mail is different from oficial stars mail ( firmat wording) also i sugrest if some onr get this kind of mail to change mail and paswords and contact stars suport via softwer and get firection how to proceed
