Hypothetically, you are in situations that for various reasons you don't want to tell someone u r an online poker player. What are some other careers that are done by working indepently online?

I used to say I sold insurance, figuring nobody would want to talk about that. That was until I ran into a real insurance salesman while waiting for an oil change. I actually bluffed my way through about 15 minutes of conversation -- mostly joking and changing the subject -- after which he gave me his card and said if I ever decided to change companies to give him a call.

You're allowed to be a poker player.... Just tell them that. You might get a few more questions, but it's not a problem.

Poker player does not play well in certain situations. Especially in countries where it is illegal.

What countries is it to tell someone you are a poker player? I am just curious. Saying poker player doesn't inherently mean online poker player.

Just tell people you are a hedge fudge manager or 13 different funds. Its not a lie by an means. You analyze combos of 13 different card types and make the best informed decision.

If a player is going to make up a job, I think that he should get creative. Tell people that you are a professional psychic. And if someone doubts you, tell him he is about to die. Then send him a bill.

This is a lie. There is a very big difference between a hedge fund manager and a card player. A deck of cards is not 13 "funds"
