Re: The great "Poker is rigged debate" - Collected threads edition

I'd bet there aren't 500 people in the world who make a decent full-time living playing competitive chess (as opposed to teaching or writing). There's easily 20,000 in poker, if not a lot more. But I guess most of those are really just shills who get paid to say they make money on poker...

People even making $ on poker, doesnt mean that they make a right ammount of it. I was browsing PTR, and 80% of accounts i checked, has sick heaters at the begining, and downswings later. It is just not normal. Most of us even winning online are making way less than we should to. It seems that software is design to ship money from point A to point B, and then from point B to point A again, no matter how good you are. This is how they win, and make money arnīt they ?

This is how my graph looks after 7500 sngs. As you see, point b = point A.

i am not losing player, even with this crap i didnt lose my small roll (300$) i transfered to FTP. but i have a feeling thats is really unreal to get so much crap. maybe its variance, but i have a feeling its something wrong.

the main question is, is it possible to calculate coolers, set ups, outdrawns in objective way, simillary like sklansky bucks or all in expectetion. i think is the black hole where no one can say nothing.
what does that mean?

Not rigged....

Last 4 hands.

K7 vs K3

Flop k3x7 both shove on turn river 3.

AA vs A4

Flop 734 dude shoves my bet, river 4.

J6 clubs vs kq

Flop xj6, dude shoves my bet, turn 10 river Ace.

I won't even bother with the last hand, its the same usual bull****, player gets the exact card that he "needs" for a miracle. You can call it a bad beat, variance and all that but its bull**** when it happens hand after hand after hand. This was all in a row.

Must be winning too much so they have to let those stupid germans win a few hands cause they suck so ****en bad. If you say move up where they respect your raises, half the table was supernovas and goldstar.

If i was playing live, I would not even worry about those hands once I saw the cards. But online, I was like ok, here we go, river 3, yup, standard, you basically expect this BS because it happens so often.

How can you randomly lose so many pots when your 80-90%+ ahead on the flop?

1-2-3 outers are so common. yeah yeah you see more hands online.

Selective memory, small sample sizes and an extremely short attention span create this situation for many.

Seriously, why not just post your venting bad beats in the bad beat forum?

I am not even sure you think it is rigged, seems you just like whining a lot.

And yet you keep playing.

It's this insistance on continuing to use a system that you are apparantly convinced is seriously rigged against you that marks you out as a complete retard.

I mean really, seriously, retarded.

I suspect that if you banged you head against a wall and it hurt you'd carry in banging your head against said wall whilst complaining to anyone who would listen that that the wall was rigged against you.

Ignorance maybe? 47 people is a pretty huge opinion sample, not to mention self selected.
