Futurebet meltdown?

Several online gambling information portals are reporting major problems with turnkey provider Futurebet - long the subject of player complaints - leading several observers to believe that the company is in serious trouble.... Sports Book Review.com reports that significant numbers of Futurebet sites have gone offline.... Other Futurebet brand owners are expected to take their websites off-line this week, according to SBR sources.

Futurebet provides Digital Gaming Network poker rooms, as well as sportsbooks and casinos using other software. Can people confirm specific poker rooms ceasing operation?

Re: Futurebet meltdown?

Wingows was never a Futurebet sie. They were one of the few DGN skins that were not. They just seem to be having their own problems though.

Futurebet has been ripping off players, licensees and affiliates for years. Casinomeister has over $1,000,000 in PAB's from Pokes Poker alone and these players have been owed for 1.5-2 years.

I've never understood how Ongame got away with hiding from their mistake of licensing FB. You know Ongame paid FB for their players when they kicked them off the network. It seems those who are owed money should be finding a way to make a bigger stink to ecogra or BWIN. Their poor decisions led to this massive fraud. Futurebet already had a bad rep when Ongame licensed them and it wasn't a stretch for players to think an Ongame skin would have guaranteed funds from PokerRoom/Ongame.

Re: Futurebet meltdown?

Guess I was lucky to get my money from AmcoPoker, which is listed as owned by Futurebet on Casinomeister.com. It took 4 weeks, but they listed 3 weeks as their cashout time.

I think I might lose $650 because of this. If anyone has any more specific information about which sites will be affected by this, it would be much appreciated.

Re: Futurebet meltdown?

Does anyone know if sites that use the iGaming Solutions software will be affected by this? It seems like iGaming Solutions and Futurebet share some of the same resources (theiroftware is almost identical). I can't figure out if they share the same payment processor or not. The software used by the payment processors looks a little different but there are many similarities.

They do not actually use the same cashier. They are basically a spinoff of FB. They have their own cashier system but have almost the same bad reputation. One poster at CM states they share some of the same servers and support as well.

Re: Futurebet meltdown?

Mother of mercy, is this the end of FutureBet? PokerScout.com's take on things:

FutureBet finally collapses (November 25, 2007)
Digital Gaming Network replaced by GOLD CHIP Network

The writing has bas been on the wall since this summer, but it appears to be official now. FutureBet Gaming Systems is dead, at least as far as the online poker world is concerned.

According to many rumors and reports, the shadowy subnetwork of poker sites and online casinos has been cheating players for years by simply refusing to process withdrawals. (How FutureBet was able to stay in operation for so long.)

The FutureBet sites resided for years on the Ongame Network. In October of 2006, Ongame announced that the Futurebet sites had been kicked off the network. Many FutureBet sites then teamed up with Dobrosoft Ltd. and quickly resurfaced on the newly created Digital Gaming Network (DGN), where the cashout woes continued.

....

In any case, it seems that players at existing (non-FutureBet) DGN sites may not notice a difference. Traffic at DGN/GOLD CHIP Network remains largely unaffected, indicating that the FutureBet rooms had very little traffic even before their collapse.
