Can someone tell me when the funds were initially siezed from this player? I received compensation from Full Tilt two years ago (sept. 20th, 2007) for what Full Tilt discoverd in an email directed to me as 'unauthorized automated software'.

They did not list names and wouldn't even tell me what hands/sessions it occured, but credited my account a couple hundred dollars. I am pretty adament that that number was about 15k light.

Obviously we don't have all the facts yet, but this feels like it could very well be true. 1/2 FR limit has had the same winning regs at it for years who felt very botty. If anyone has a very large sample size at this limit, it might be a good place to start looking, fwiw.

This would also explain stories I've heard of Ferguson spending hours and hours working on the nitty gritty of poker theory on his computer when he seems to play by "gut" a lot more often then most "math guys" like Paul Magriel.

Also I got doomswitched when I made fun of Bloch's alligator skin hat.

While poker remains unregulated in the US players will continue to have no rights. It's ironic they continue to use morality to justify the situation yet punish those willing to pay their fair share.

OP, you should be ashamed of yourself. Did anyone actually read the complaint? I'm not a lawyer but basically every element besides the "full tilt took my $" is a red herring waste of time, and most of it seems fabricated from thin air. For instance, it accuses full tilt of letting their red pros play with house money, it accuses Chris Ferguson and Andy Bloch of developing and running bots on Full Tilt. I'll be amused to see how they can provide any evidence of this.

As someone said they probably hope to sensationalize it enough to get a settlement, but this is like the definition of a frivolous lawsuit.

This is exactly what they did to me as well, i posted about it here on 2+2 but for whatever reason my post got deleted. FYI- I never colluded, i dont have multiple accounts and i have no idea why.

They really just deleted my account and wont even email me back- I have heard nothing from them at all (despite me sending them 5-6 emails)! and my account and $ are gone. Thankfully it wasnt for that much $ but its complete b.s. that a company can just delete your account take your $ and nothing happens.

At this point i wish theyd just at least email me back and say "hey we decided to steal your **** or whatever" So i could just move on and quit feeling compelled to check my email when there obviously not getting back to me- they actually didnt accept my last 2 emails, lol. what a waste of time and such a b.s. company.

They'll e-mail you a reason when the investigations done, if you did nothing wrong they will send you your money.

I think the lawyer is going to give up pretty quick if FTP shows any determination at all. No way taking 1/3 of $80k (standard contingency fee) will net a reasonable hourly rate if this goes to trial.

I think everyone can be fairly confident that FTP doesn't have any bad practices or deceive players in any way today, but what they did in the past until they reach where they are today, well, in the least, we can't know 100% and I certainly won't be as sure as you.

(And it's obvious that the goal of Sillysal is to settle this, or get her money back plus damages. If she goes into accusations beyond what directly relates to her case, but things that are of general concern of every player and her in particular, as a mean to win her case, this shouldn't be abig deal).

it will likely be 40% + expert witness fee if they go to trial. contingency may be 40% regardless.

I'd give this 100:1 against getting to trial. They'll have a couple meetings and the most likely outcome is the case will be dismissed, just like Gowan. Failing that, FT will settle before getting anywhere near a courtroom. And I doubt they'll give up more than the actual amount confiscated, if that. People looking forward to evidence and depositions about bots and stuff are in for a disappointment.
