FTP Update 7/12

Edit/MH: Previous threads: FTP Update 7/11 and FTP Update 7/9.

*

Hi All,

We're still working on a number of issues, but we've made two changes that should significantly improve game play for many players and we wanted to get that out as an update asap.

1. "Lag" issues - There are a number of things that people call lag, so it's often difficult to know exactly what problem is being reported. We're confident with this update a number of versions of lag that players have been experiencing have been addressed. That isn't to say there aren't other versions still out there, but the specific issue of action buttons not appearing and the table not popping up until the warning timer sounds we believe have been fixed.

2. Blinking in the taskbar on action - This should now behave properly. Let us know if there are any further issues with this, but now when a table gets queued up for popping to front it should blink in the taskbar.

I also wanted to mention that we will be extending the time players have to clear their Iron Man Mid-Year Bonus by at least a week. We'll post a specific extension time on the Mid-Year Bonus status page by the end of this week.

Thanks for your continued feedback. I apologize for the problems a number of you are still having and we'll be putting out another update in the next few days that will hopefully resolve the bulk of any remaining issues.

Doug

Re: FTP Update 7/12

doesn't matter if you are extending the bonus play for iron man

what about the people that were disconnected from huge pots, couldnt play or lost money because of everything

and don't say a bonus that we have to clear.

i expect at least 100$ back from a nl25 grinders perspective and i want cash

otherwise hello pokerstars

Re: FTP Update 7/12

I agree, I am a long time player and affiliate on FTP, and the new updates have only made the issues improve about 10%, as well as costing me some $$$ b/c most of my roll is on FTP at the moment.

The only reason why I haven't completely withdrawn as of yet is b/c a) I still have some sick faith that you guys will eventually fix the issue and b) I have been running in god mode on FTP over the last 2 mths as supposed to Stars and other clients.

But I am close to doing so, esp if I don't get at least a $26 token back.

Re: FTP Update 7/12

Meh, I've switched to Stars because of this software update and the shambolic way it was rolled out and managed. Full-tilt has lost all good-will and trust that they've built up with me over the last year.

But I might try FT again in the future. When Stars releases a software update that causes me to timeout in big pots, breaks my shortcuts and tracking software, is riddled with annoying bugs, looks ugly and doesn't add any new features that I need, then I'll be back to try FTP again.

Wow, way to address 5% of the issues, the minor ones at that, and ignore the rest. Instills confidence.

Re: FTP Update 7/12

I downloaded today's update and it did not help me one bit. Same problem with with the client frequently locking up and becoming unresponsive. Here is what happens while observing a table:

1. Action seems to come to a stop
2. I click on the table and get the hourglass
3. I click on the table again and in the top right hand corner of the table window it says: (Not Responding)

It will stay in this state for a minute or two and then become responsive for maybe a minute before repeating.

Thanks for the update on the mid year bonus.

Re: FTP Update 7/12

2 days running that I can't get FTP to even login on my PC, so i'm forced to play on a smaller screen, less often, without a HUD and with significant lag. I'm seriously expecting some sort of reimbursement from this.

edit: and why the hell does quicktime keep opening with full tilt

Re: FTP Update 7/12

This new software seems to effect alot of cash game players. I play mtts and havent had any troubles with it . Is it the HUd programs and such slowing it down?

Re: FTP Update 7/12

F&&k you FTP.
Before todays update I folded TT preflop to a PFRR in a 3/6NLHE game and it called my whole stack all in, that cost me $800.
Then after updating, the very first, and I'm not kidding the very f%%cking first hand I get KK and the client freezes when it is raised in front of me.
I have lost at least at least $2000 in real money because of these constant time outs and "phantom calls".

I am cashing out my last 4k out of there and taking some time off.
It's not like they are going to re-imburse anyone who has been cheated out of their money like I have.

This is like WalMart deciding to have all products wrapped in a same sized plain brown box with no description on the outside. You go in, put your money on the counter, and never know what you are going to get....kind of the same way when you log into FTP now.

This is by far the biggest joke in the history of online poker company decisions.

Re: FTP Update 7/12

The first day when the update released I spent fixing my HUD, reloading my cards and fixing any other problem. Get off your lazy asses and stop blaming Full Tilt because you don't know how to restart your computer.

The updates work fine for me. I play 12 tables at a time. I have not had one problem since I fixed my HUD.
