The good news: received a fairly timely response from FT CS regarding the check issue.
The bad news: they tell me they don't anticipate check options being available for a while and tell me about wonderful bank transfers after I tell them in the initial e-mail that this is not an option. (reading comprehension and timely response expecting too much?)
Anyway, considering Pokerstars seems to be sending out checks and I'm even reading about Full Tilt sending cash to WA residents (dangerous for sure, but if I have no other option.....), I'm considering the following reply. Would I be overly obnoxious in sending this?
---------------------
Hi,
Thank you for your response. However, as I explained in my initial e-mail, none of the other current withdrawal methods are viable to me. I can't do Bank Transfers or Bank Wires on my bank account. I've had problems in the past and this will likely result in account closure at best. I've already been through several other banks in the area and am out of options in that arena. It is my understanding that the fees are ridiculous for this anyway for the amounts I would be withdrawing. If there is no check option for the foreseeable future, we need to work something else out.
I understand the DOJ is a major pain in all our asses and don't completely blame Full Tilt, but there should still always be a backup plan. Pokerstars, for one, has had minimal down time with their check service. As their chief competitor, I would expect your site to be no different in wanting to explore and exhaust such methods as well. Why not find out what they're doing that works? I play on Full Tilt for real money with the understanding that the site will be able to get me my funds in a timely and painless manner. If this is not the case, I may as well be playing with play money, right?
Thank you for your understanding and anticipated cooperation in the matter,

Hi,
I need to make a withdrawal, but it says that checks are currently unavailable
to me. Considering that none of the other options are currently viable to me,
when will checks be available again to me and if this isn't going to be soon, we
need to work out a way of getting me my money because I can't do bank transfers
or wires.
Thank you,

Hello xxxx,
Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but there is no withdrawal option through
checks and we do not have a return date at present, and you will need to set up
an account with a different processor to withdraw funds. For a list of payment
processing options available to you, please visit our website at:
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/withdrawal
Bank Transfer withdrawals are sent directly from your Full Tilt Poker account to
your U.S. bank account via an electronic funds transfer.
Bank Transfer withdrawals are limited to one request per day and three per week
for amounts between $100 and $950. Please note that Bank Transfer withdrawals
are only available to U.S. checking accounts.
You can request a Bank Transfer withdrawal by following these steps:
1) Go to the "Cashier" window.
2) Select "Withdrawal".
3) Select "Bank Transfer" as your withdrawal method.
4) Enter the required information and confirm.
5) Double-check your banking information in the pop-up confirmation screen.
Incorrect banking information can lead to an irretrievable loss of funds, so
please check these details carefully.
Your funds will be available in your bank account 10 to 15 business days after
your request has been approved.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We're always here to help.
Thank you for choosing Full Tilt Poker, and good luck at the tables!
