You need to recognize that the majority of the work getting the mid-year bonus is in getting the iron man levels in the first place, not actually clearing the bonus once it's given.

Players need to recognize that some of the work getting the mid-year bonus is in clearing the bonus once it's given. I believe it's $0.05 released per FTP, which is the figure I use to calculate "FTP to Clear".

With this understanding, we can easily calculate the amount of "work" already done for a monthly mid-year bonus, compared to the amount of "work" that would have to be done in total for a monthly mid-year bonus.

This is an easy conversion chart for a fair conversion of earned iron man levels to cash bonuses, skipping the bonus release process.

It's not our fault that we can't play to clear the mid-year bonus in a few months, and there's no certainty we will ever be allowed to play on FTP again, so it's not fair to keep those in limbo for a possible future return of US players. US politicians just don't get that they could help our tremendous national debt by taxing and regulating an industry practically begging for it. It's not reasonable to expect a government approved return of US players soon.

mid year bonuses are given to you to entice you to play. they have no reason to give you a bonus that you cant clear.

Well I think that says it will be the week starting with that date. As in maybe that date, but maybe later in the week.

It is ambiguously worded and only indicates that there will be an announcement next week(not Monday).

Caught using one, or caught using one from a banned location? People that use public wifi in a legal country and want the security of a VPN should not be penalized.

The DOJ statement prohibits US players from playing for "anything of value". That means any tourney with a potential cash prize is a no-go, even if it's free to buy in.

The day of the DOJ seizure was the 8th day of Take 2 so it wouldn't have mattered. I cleared my points for Black Friday the night before, after midnight, but still couldn't log in on Saturday to get the 9th day.

No news... really? They announced that they aren't broke, that European players' funds will not be affected even after US cashouts, and that there is some plan to convert FTPs and Iron Man medals to some sort of value.

We didn't know any of that for sure yesterday.

I completely agree that the bonuses are given to entice you to play.

But, my point is that they aren't entirely given to entice you to play to clear the bonus once given.

I made sure to hit iron man level every month, even though that meant impacting my daily schedule. And, I played at micro stakes (mostly $0.25/$0.50), so getting enough FTP every day took a few hours every day three-four tabling rush. They enticed me to play in the past, to get the levels in the first place. There were many times I grinded out enough FTP in a day to hit my level, instead of doing something else I would have preferred to have done that day.

This is why I think it makes sense to pro-rate (split up) the bonus.

Please fix the MoneyBookers withdrawl option as soon as possible, its been for ever now that its not working?

Requested $2k check in early April, has never arrived. It clearly will never arrive. I need to make sure that money is put back into my account.

I guess one would have to think it's good news that issues regarding FTPs/IM Medals/Bonuses/etc are being resolved. It's very unlikely these things would have gotten this far if they didn't have a full intention of paying out, and soon.

I also think another important thing to consider is that paying out the cash value of every FTP/IM Medal/Ticket is going to put a pretty substantial financial burden on FT beyond just paying back account balances. It's no surprise Stars is making people wait to reimburse points in order to likely soften the blow so to speak.

For me personally, the cashing in of all my points and medals will yield about a 15% boost to my BR. If the amount FT has to pay out instantaneously increases by 15% beyond what is in players accounts then it's even more understandable now why this could be difficult.
