Re: FTP Answers 4/28

lol at everybody bashing doug for clarifying to the best of his ability what he can. there was real information in there, and even if there wasn't, any response is so much better than silence. everybody posting **** about the quality of these answers sucks.

sure FTP has handled this poorly, and i'm with everyone that Pokerstars has bumped up it's credibility in my book with how they handled things compared to FTP.... but bashing this post for being uninformative is just stupid.

yea people are just... dumb.

Clearly they are still working out details and when Doug was saying nothing, people kept saying "Silence? At least give us SOMETHING, even if its just reassurance" - then he comes on and does exactly that (and a little more) and gets flamed for not posting more.

pick a side

I bet if they didn't allowed all those people freeroll with uncleared echecks for 6 months we wouldn't be here.

Greed is bad.

From what FTPDOUG has said, as well as their non response (up until this point), I gather that FTP is not in good shape at all. Saying "Don't worry we will have answers next week" translates to "We don't have the money and need to buy more time to figure out the strategy, or an exit plan"

If they had plans on paying people they would give more detail as to what the actual holdup is.

The news next week will be that they are "close" to finalizing the details. Then a few weeks after that you will hear that it could be months... Then they just disappear. This is how bankruptcies work.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

PS: I don't see any problem spectating at this point. Full tilt has lost a huge chunk of their customer base already. It can't get much worse for them.
I agree with what you have said on how companies that are about to go pop operate, but you then say we shouldn't speculate after doing just that...

Re: FTP Answers 4/28

So does this mean FTP support will start answering questions? We all need some sort of support. You can just reply saying "We can't touch on this matter as of yet". And at least get us an answer within 24-72 hours even. Instead of back then the usual week and now even 2 weeks.

My account is still pending verification and I need to know whats going to happen to my account. I have $10k in limbo.

I know $7.12 is NOT a lot, but it's significant to me.

When I started with FT, I deposited $100. I lost at first, like all new players. But I had finally started winning and earned my way back up to $93.90 on Black Friday.

My total, if you count the bonus, will be 101.02 A dollar. A symbolic dollar which means I came out ahead as a "winning" poker player.

WTF is this?????

I hope this garbage is a level, because it just put me on instant monkey tilt.

"Yes. But your existing account and balance will not yet be available on logging in. You will be required to provide sufficient proof of relocation, including your photo identification and proof of residency at your new address. You can then use non-US funds to play from outside the US. And, after return of your US funds, you will be able to use those funds as well from outside the US."

I know that's still a bit fuzzy, sorry about that. We'll work on clearing up all the details as soon as possible.
Hey Doug,

None of my e-mails have been responded to regarding this question. Thanks for clearing this up.

One more question about this:

If I ship a photo copy of my passport and photo copy of my lease for my place in Thailand will that be sufficient proof?

I can ship like a copy of my electric bill or whatever too.

You may have more to lose than he does, for sure. But that does not mean he is any less entitled to his money than you are to yours.

i've got cash there, although i'm happy that i reacted quickly and got most of it off when this started going down. I still have a lot invested in FTP and since Doug's response is exactly what i expect from a company... as much openness as possible, even when that openness is "we don't know" or "our lawyers told us to shut up"

since a FTP rep will probably read this, i will point out that any evaluation of FTP points at less than tournament ticket value will be very unsatisfactory.
