At any rate, I got an email today stating my account has been fully reinstated. Still don't know why it was closed to begin with.

At least in the end you got your account re-instated.
This happened to me before they switched over to the new cashier.
Had an account on both Carbon and RPM at the time, playing back and forth regularly, few hours on 1...few hours on the other..rinse and repeat.
Saw they were coming out with a new site, Carbon Sports that offered Sportsbooking as well...this piqued my interest to try something new, as well as the potential for CC deposits again. So per instructions that were posted in the appropriate thread (was stated that even if you already had a Carbon account, you had to make a new account under Carbon Sports).
This turned out to be the doomswitch on my Merge playing..as they did the same to me that they did to you. Closed all my accounts with no further explanation.
After eventually talking through a few levels..finally got the same "for potential fraud reasons"; even though my information was accurate already on both accounts AND verified on BOTH Carbon and RPM.
The reps were very helpful to me though in trying to find things out. Just thought it was a lame copout excuse when i tried my best to explain the misunderstanding and to send whatever paperwork/verification needed to show them.
