The old thread has been abandoned so I thought it was time to update some info.

I have created a google sheets doc with eWallets & prepaid cards available in Canada. I included info that I thought was important like fees, P2P transfer, multi-currency, prepaid cards attached, BTC (bitcoin) options. This doc will evolve because the payment landscape seems to change all the time in online poker (particularly for Canada).

If there are suggestions for improvement/things to add, I will gladly look into it.

google sheets doc:

There is also the party poker GoPlay prepaid mastercard, Just ordered mine so have not used it before but seems like a good option. Not sure if it works to deposit on other sites but does give you the option to deposit/withdraw on party and use it at atms.

Also, Can you use paysafecard at atms? If so what are the fees like for the card?

no it uses vouchers, so not a prepaid card in the traditional sense

have updated the doc to reflect this

Some sites also have that citadel instant banking. I know 888 does for Canadians. Sign into your bank and approve transfer. But PSC is good because you can purchase the voucher online through your bank than just deposit the funds and most of the sites accept PSC.

its amazing that ecoPayz is not supported at more sites like skrill/neteller. they have been around for a while and their fees r better than skrill/neteller too

i was upgraded to gold level in less than 24hr and all my interactions w support have been top notch

if ur interested in ecoPayz (and u should be since skrill/neteller is not available for gaming in Canada), please tell the sites to add this as a payment option

More sites have added ecoPayz now and I was told that bigger sites will follow soon. Should be available at Stars, Party and bwin at May this year. William Hill is already testing ecoPayz for Japan and Canada. ROW hopefully soon too.

Let's hope for the best. Skrill and NETELLER really need some serious competition!

thats great news, if the large sites add ecoPayz as an option the smaller sites will likely be forced to follow

btw do u have a link/source for this info? or is it inside info u've heard within the industry

Unfortunately, I don't have a link or anything official yet, but a trustworthy source told me, so I am pretty sure that it is true. They told me that Stars is almost ready and only a few steps are missing to fully integrate it.

im aware of global/paypal but for the purposes of this doc, im just sticking to common payment options & sites with good traffic. if i included every option & site, this doc would quickly become unmanageable

global does seem to be growing quickly tho and if it reaches a certain traffic level, i will add them in then

I guess that's some great news! Maybe you can add it to your first post.
