ANGRY!

I hope 2+2 has the credence to put some serious hurt on MG.

Seems, Mr. Remme was a crook. In hindsight maybe players shoulda' been wiser; but all MG sites should be blacklisted from 2+2, or any other reputable poker forum; until the unlikely occurrance of this issue being satisfactorily resolved.

----

Rather than chipping in for a lawyer, I would prefer to put a percentage of my bankroll towards a 2+2 banner ad, publicising the terribleness of MG and referencing this thread.

quote from early in this thread:

"Microgaming has been around since before online poker, and I don't think a player has ever lost money when one of their casinos or poker rooms shut down. I'm sure your money is safe this time, though you may not have access to it for a while."

Sobering thought for the "I only play on stars and ftp so I never have anything to worry about" crowd.

Just discovered i wierd thing. I had only a small amount around 1.5k pending withdrawel left at betonbet ( had recieved my bigger eurolinx one some months earlier ), day before liquidation i was on livechat screaming for my money, lol. When i saw they were put in liquidation i was sure my money was gone.
Today when i logged at neteller ( dont use that crap anymore), my withdrawel was completed just some hours before i noticed they were put in liquidation, this makes no sense to me, why would they pay a such small amount when they already down, im not even close to make them any trouble for such small amount. Strange stuff.

Update from lawyer in Malta :

Betonbet is currently investigated by LGA and that's the current status of the company - it has nothing to do with bankcrupcy yet. ( or information officially is not updated yet ) The best thing to do now for all players of Betonbet is send a complaint to LGA as you are instructed on this page : http://www.lga.org.mt/lga/content.aspx?id=157049 and wait for updates of situation, however this might be a very long process. Will keep you updated.

I am beginning to suspect that with the rumour of JR's exiting Malta and no updates on the EL website that either no approach was made to a Liquidator or any Liquidator approached did a quick scan of EL's affairs and there was so little left the Liquidator wouldn't get paid.

If he did leave malta almost 0% chance there is liquidation. As I said before though. TUSK had 20-30% of players funds left and there were no issues with withdrawls. Given the amount of difficulty Eurolinx was having I expect much less. I guess MGS still does absolutely nothign to ensure there is adequate cashflow on their network. Wonder how much money eurolinx owed in transfer payments???

For what it's worth, I just Googled this: there appears to be a company in Norway by the name of "Eurolink Remme" (what's in a name) (source: http://sesam.no/search/?q=Eurolink%20Remme&c=w). Head of the company is a person by the name of Jo Arild Remme (born 1968). The company is located here: Løvsøya Industihus, 6292 Kjerstad, tel. 98810664. The company is apparently specialised in "System- og programvarekonsulenter" which probably means "System- and programming consultancy". Also, the company is located in a remote area in Norway (see this map: http://www.bedriftsdatabasen.no/kart...irmaId=1020018). First thing that comes to my mind is: if it still exists is it related to Eurolinx's shady business?

Edit: "Eurolink Remme har besøksadresse Løvsøya Industihus, 6292 Kjerstad. Selskapet ble stiftet i 2004 og er registrert under bransjen web-portal. Jo Arild Remme er daglig leder."

The company was set up on 25.10.2004 according to the Norwegian chamber of commerce.

Any Norwegians here want to give the company a call for a possible new software project? ;]

If I had to make a quick guess, it's probably his affiliate company for Eurolinx. I am sure he had his own rakeback deals with players under his own affiliate. Nothing like double dipping.

So what is happening? this thread isslowly coming to a hold. Is everyone just accepting they lost their money and move on. If so, it could be extremely lucrative for new companies to set up similar scams...no consequences.

Where/ when does MG act? The site hasnt even given a response yet. From this bankrupcy at the moment there seem to be two winners: Remme and MicroGaming and a whole bunch of loosers (players, EL staff, other MG skins who suffer from worsening MG rep, affiliates).

Does anyone have MG contacts and can give them a call about...wtf is going on?!

MG never responded when this happend 18 months ago at TUSK for a similiar amount of money... they generally ignore emails as well or brush you off if you call them... they made it very clear that they don't intend to step in and make things right in such cases...

Police might do it for you, or a notary (check your phone book) or your bank. That said emailing a certified copy is pretty ridiculous.

Too bad. It's probably the only company registered in the 'systems and programming consultancy business' that in 5 years time has had no reference projects, has only one employee, has no website/e-mail address, has a dead phone line, is located in the middle of nowhere and still has possibly made millions off of its clients.
