What's the new rake structure in the Euro cash games? Can't see it anywhere on the site.

Re: Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

This is absolutely horrible Pokerstars. Quite possibly it's the worst business decision you guys have ever made.

One of the reasons why you have been so successful is because of the simplicity and ease of use of your product. The way you are implementing multiple currencies is far too complicated and will put off both the casual gamers and the regs alike. Why? Because you are forcing your customers to make more decisions that affect their poker game which aren't related to poker at all.

Why should I have to decide which tables I want to play at? I've made my choice that I want to play on Stars, and now I have to decide whether or not to play on the Stars Euro, or Stars Dollar tables or to play both. I have to decide if it's worth me paying the 1% conversion fee. I have to work out if I want to have my account split into two separate currencies and if I do I have to figure out how my combined roll is doing. Hell if I'm smart I probably should be working out which currency is strongest for me to keep my roll in. These are all decisions I do NOT want to make.

For the life of me I can not work out why you simply cant have your account in the currency you want and when you sit/leave a table which uses a different currency you automatically convert with 0% fees.

I really think I'm going to leave Stars because of this... very upsetting

You also have to decide whether or not to wait for GBP implementation and use that instead

Re: Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

using multiple currencies makes it harder for players to play together, not only that, pokerstars profits anytime someone exchanges currencies to play in a game that it just made less accessible

i don't think this was thought out very well and think it is a very risky move to take as the market leader, a lot of people are going to be unhappy and potentially take their business elsewhere

also, the FAQ wasn't super clear on this but was the rake on euros higher? the same?

Re: Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

iPoker multiple currency system BEFORE thea ctual GBP/USD/EUR tables THERE was divine and excellent. No need to switch currencies before you play on the tables and stuff. Just boom boom pow joining the table with euros on a dollar table and leaving it it with the same ratio.

What I'm trying to say is that splitting your ''supply'' and making ''Simplicity & Accessibility'' fade away and spray a new slogan named ''Complex and Difficult''

It's already been demonstrated here on 2+2 why this system is inferior to, and costs you more in profit than, PokerStars' system. See Post 163 in this thread:

The goal of the margin is to cover costs, not create a new profit stream. The margin is extremely competitive when compared to that of other sites.

http://www.pokerstars.com/sites/beta/poker/room/rake/

(Bottom of the page)

Essentially, 5% capped at €2.

Re: Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

Bad move in my opinion. I don't want to have to worry about my roll being split between two currencies, especially not when I'm getting charged 1% to convert between the two. It's an un-needed over-complication as far as I'm concerned.

Edit; Can I point out these quotes from your site;

I'm confused...

This is definitely the best system, and what party does now. EPT sats in euros makes sense, but apart from that, make all games in $ and you can have your account in whatever currency.

Re: Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

I don't like this at all. I always have something to complain about (just my nature), but this is the first thing on Stars that has made me want to leave the site. I just want to grind; now I have to think about currency conversion and other crap. If the Euro is gaining, I will always be thinking "**** I should have converted to Euro and I would have made this much...."

Also, the fees are retarded.
