Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

Hi 2+2,

Euro accounts and games officially launched as a public beta today at 16:00 UTC.

You can find all the information you need at:

http://www.pokerstars.com/sites/beta/

The selection of games offered right now is quite small, but we will be expanding it over the coming days and weeks. Let me know here in this thread if there are particular games or tournaments you would like to see.

Please also use this thread for any feedback or questions. For technical issues and to report bugs, please see the beta web page.

Best Regards,

Alex

Only thing we need to see (really) it that the EPT Satellites are run in Euro currency, so we dont get raped by Stars really bad currency exchange for hotels and buy-in with the live tourneys. This is my main reason why I have not played a satellite to EPT the last year, last time I qualified Stars took $700 in hidden fees.

What's the margin PStars uses for currency exchange?

I accidently changed $600 to euros so I decided to change it back to dollars. But to my surprise I saw that my mistake costed me about 8 euros in currency exchange fees...

Satellites to Euro live events will run in Euro, starting with EPT Deauville later this month.

Re: Euro Accounts and Games Launched at PokerStars

It's 0% fees if you do a deposit or withdrawal directly to/from Euros, so that's the best option to get Euros in there.

I plan to deposit directly and not bother with converting and avoiding those fees.

Hopefully PS will continue to not charge conversion fees on deposits/withdrawals.

So with 1 % commission + EPT satellite's, we are kinda forced you know to convert our dollars into euros thus paying you an extra 1%

Keep adding those 1% commissions and Stars made a million within hours methinks

Please say that those EPT satellites are also available in $USD

So for every $100 I exchange PStars takes $1? I don't know much about this stuff, but isn't this way to much?

depends what rate is used for adding 1% on top. If it's the same rate that banks or credit cards use then it's a low rate.

If the buyin in the event is in euros then it will have to be converted somewhere anyway.
