I play on the 5Dimes skin and I have a general question about using Western Union. From what I hear, we should not use western union excessively.. on the 5dimes website they recommend not "abusing this payout method," saying they would not be responsible for funds seized when sending payouts to a blacklisted account. I am curious about how often/how much, roughly, would you have to receive payouts to run this risk?

Can someone tell me how to save this thread without having to search it again. I'm new at this; any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, WU does black-list US citizens who receive lots of odd transfers from foreign countries. There are a couple articles about this online, I know, I co-authored one

Upper right hand corner, look for "My 2+2", then "subscribed threads"

Alternatively you can simply bookmark the thread with your web browser, typically by pressing control+B keys.

Hey guys, let's keep this thread going in the format that Kahn suggested. We Americans are in need of an additional site with speedy cash outs.

Just wondering if you could define "lots of odd transfers" how many is lots?
Are we talking once a month, once a week?? Any links to the article you co-wrote? thx

I've been told privately by a number of players that the listed time frames of the cashier are accurate. Unfortunately I've been unable to motivate many of them to post their experiences in this thread for others to read...

I've just recieved a check to my name for $2000.

I have account only in Bank of America and they don't want to negotiate this check as they said "because it's from Canada and the amount is big"

Have anyone else had problems like I have?

P.S. I got WU transfer pretty easy, it took 4 days to get, but the limit is only $800 per one transfer, and they allow only 1 transfer per 7 days which is not good for me...
WU and MG is $800 max

not sure what you mean by negotiate - you should be able to deposit the check at BoA. they might send it off to collections for a while, where, if it's a legit check, they should eventually accept it and give you access to your funds.

Try using a larger, more international bank. Preferably one who does business in Canada and deals with foreign checks often

that's what happened.
they said that they need to send it to collections for 6-8 weeks.

i already requested check payout cancellation and poker room charged $250 for that cancellation!
sucks.
I should use wires next time

$250 is the standard cancellation fee at many US facing sites, as that is the fee many 3rd party payment processors charge.

See 2 posts up from this one on my advice to you and others about checks/banking.

Attempted to cashout 1k and was denied as I did not complete required documentation. Emailing all of the data they require makes me a bit uneasy. Photos of id, credit card, utility bill etc. I guess I don't have a choice...any thoughts on this?

it's totally normal to have to submit that stuff before receiving a cashout. from their point of view, why are they going to send you a check when you can't prove who you are?

Update. Cashout was rejected due to not having verification docs in... submitted docs and re-requested after they were approved today. Will update when received... BTW Totally expected it might get rejected since I didn't have verification docs submitted yet.

Actual request date is now 8/27

Many countries outside the USA, i.e. those with access to Skrill, put the day before the month when writing dates.
