Re: Discussion Thread PokerStars Player Reps Report

why is one of the new levels 3/6? i relly have a hard time figuring this out ..why not 4/8 or maybe 3/7? the difference to 2/5 is so minimal i thought is was a typo first.

Re: Discussion Thread PokerStars Player Reps Report

Micro/Small LHE is the exactly the same as the original changes, it looks like the reps only looked out for their own games. Why leave us in suspense for a month if you're not changing anything.

Re: Discussion Thread PokerStars Player Reps Report

Seems like 6max PLO got the shaft and LHE got the Jesus representation.

All short handed 6max games, especially super short handed got a little screwed.

Don't forget the 4.5% rake is linear, NOT INCREMENTAL so it isn't as good as it first seems.

The $2.8 cap 6 handed is nice, but jumping from $2->$2.8 5 handed is the same **** Stars tried to pull.

Well done everybody involved. Don't really see the point for NL6 but apart from that it looks good.

Also still don't understand why 5-6 handed is raked more than 3-4.

Re: Discussion Thread PokerStars Player Reps Report

Gotta say not sure who thought adding a 6nl on top of 5nl was a good idea.

Gotta re-iterate that PLO (and likely CAP) just got very, very little relief. PLO is raked out of control amounts.

If by Jesus representation you mean nailed to a cross and left to die, than yeah...

Micro stakes LHE got nothing out of this.

guess we can thank klairic for that.

still decent chances overall tho
changed my mind after thinking it trough
useless changes for the majority of players

as feared sending representatives for different gametypes was a bad idea

additonally to the big problems i mentioned above:
-microstakes rake decrease will NOT increase the health of the games, why?
smallstakes are still a huge bottleneck , the rake cap increase is killer at 6max nl100 where the games start to get tough so the 0.5% rake decrease is useless at best.
the only people who really benefit from the micro-decrease are the people who are playing those limits for a living(hi peru)

the real winner are FR players, klairic pushed his agenda trough as expected while ****ting all over SSNL/MSNL 6max players.
nice job
good to know that all the discussions beforehand were beyond useless and just completely ignored

Re: Discussion Thread PokerStars Player Reps Report

The more I look at these changes in the context of fairness, the more I realise that these changes just don't make sense.

First of all a rake reduction across the board is welcome. However I wanted a fairer approach. It surely can't be right that a stake like NL25 which is a rake trap is now slightly worse off in changes to NL50,100,200 etc.

Also the same applies to limit holdem such as 0.50/1 where the higher limits seem to get more of an advantage. This is exactly what I didn't want to see. I wanted the rake to be decreased in a fair way and as the limits went up the rake reduction was less noticeable.

Am I right in these conclusions because it seems to me that this just isn't the case?. I am hoping to be corrected

I'll be damned, I agree with cashy on something.

Though to be fair, 6max NLHE had it better than CAP and PLO to begin with. Those are the two games that needed something substantial out of this and got nothing.

Full-ring the big winner, ldo.
