ITT we have losing players who love to whine. Customer service on these sites is awful, you're right. But at the end of the day if I'm making money I don't care.

All you're doing by creating these threads is stunting the growth of NJ poker even further. I would imagine that many of those first timers that are thinking about depositing do a quick Google search and find threads like these. Naturally, after only having the negative aspects highlighted, they change their minds and go play the lottery.

It's a double edged sword though. If we remain quiet then things don't get better. Sure this thread may scare off some people, but if those people sign up and have service issues they won't stay long anyway. If we bitch enough maybe things will change, the reputation of the sites will improve and then more recreational players will sign up.

Also, I think the absolute worst thing to happen regarding service on NJ sites has been the complete failure of UP to attract players. Nearly everyone says their customer service is the best and it hasn't helped them at all.

Other sites (Party in particular) see that and realize that they don't have to improve customer service because most people are sheep and will put up with whatever they do.

But I don't think they believe it. It's just an excuse so they can shut down unrig-ulated $$$ and thus steer those $$$ towards themselves.

But if NJ convinces other states that there is no $$$ to be made, then other states will not be fired up to join in

LMFAO!

It's way better than merge WPN and Bovada eh? Really? Explain!

All 3 of those networks have no real issues at all (NJ sites too) and all 3 networks have payouts which are just as fast as Stars. Oh and way bigger player pools too. Hilarious to say the NJ sites are even comparable, much less "way better".

No issues at all? You mean the one with the growing list of banned and table limited winners based on some secret formula? The constantly fluctuating withdrawal times. Frequently bounced checks. Reports of players getting their bank accounts closed for trying to withdrawal. Sketchy deposit methods. Locked withdrawal methods for many players with unknown requirements to unlock. Stolen VIP points. The possibility the sites could without warning disappear and steal the funds, or be shutdown by the US Govt.
No recourse whatsoever in the case of a dispute or unfair treatment. and lol anonymous tables.

I'd take the smaller player pools of the regulated NJ sites any day over the nightmare that is Merge. The player pools will grow as the states pool together.

How about the fact that NJ also attracts a bunch of whiny players? The deals and promos are way better than anything PS or FTP used to have. It isn't even close. Obviously the guarantees and prize pools are going to be smaller in a small state like Jersey.

I also don't see anything wrong with the player support on ANY of the sites. They all answer my emails very quickly. Not as good as Pokerstars but pretty close.

Instead of everyone whining they should be greatful to have poker and play. If not I will and take all your $$$

NJ casinos have treated gamblers like crap for more than 30 years. Just because someone plays poker instead of craps they think they deserve better? They're here to make as much profit as they can, not make it easier for gamblers to do so. The casinos have been a near monopoly since inception and they never shook that mentality. Tropicana charging $20 for parking on a Friday night. In their minds they're doing you a favor offering you a game.

That is surprising to me. The only times I've ever had a problem with geolocation on UP is when I forget to take my phone off of wifi or have location services on my phone turned off.

The fact that they use your wifi and your phone when others use wifi only has made them the best at geolocation, well, for me anyway.

You don't get it.

If you make your money via poker, then it is critical that sites you play on provide excellent customer service. If recreational players don't have a positive experience, then they don't show up again.

Additionally, you can end up getting screwed due to incompetent customer service. If you've never wasted hours on the phone, or gone back and forth via email, then consider yourself lotto-level lucky.

Trying to shutdown discussion of this, by calling people whiners, when there are some legitimate concerns, is worse than whining.

^^ Agreed with that sentiment. I know having been to Bally's in AC recently, never having been in a casino before, greatly affected my desire to want to return. Can't speak for others, but I had a very enjoyable (if not totally profitable) experience. Also had brief interactions with WSOP.com staff, and they were helpful and cordial. So not sure where some of the hate is coming from - though don't doubt there are other issues at play.

First off: Mad cuz bad

Second: Why does this tool have his own thread? We have a NJ thread.

Third: NJ poker largely works all things considered. Their most guilty of being poor marketers imo. Better ego-location and customer service would be helpful.
