Just to be clear - it was not our update that caused this issue. Microsoft's update from March 14 is what is causing this issue, and the issue is not exclusive to our client; eg:

The error messaging and logs that are appearing to the users of this application are the same as the error messages we are seeing in our logs submitted by players. There is nothing we can roll back or fix to resolve this.
The decision to stop the game entirely or not is a difficult one; there's no question that de-surfacing the game (which had to be done) for a specific platform may cause some players who have contributed to the progressive to mistakenly but understandably believe the option to play no longer exists.
On the one hand, a very large percentage of our users are playing on mobile or tablets which are not affected or have access to one if they wish to play The Deal. As well, turning it off could also be seen as unfair to those people who had played in the preceding 12 hour period, where some of their EV came from hoping to get a share of the jackpot, which cannot happen if the game is turned off entirely.
After due consideration, the decision was made to leave the game on; I understand it's not a perfect solution, but I don't believe there is one.
