Read all of the "locked accounts" threads. Don't datamine on FTP if you like your money.

Ok so datamining is clearly not an option now but what about buying hand histories?

Obviously its still going to be against FTP rules but are they actually able to tell if you have bought HH's in your database?

I guess it depends what they consider 'datamining'. If some idiot bangs on my door during play I may have to sit out for 5 mins or so. Then I sit back in, but next time I import to PT I get those observed hands, even if I don't want them.

I doubt this would be a problem. That's not the same as observing 16 tables for 22 hours every day.

I'm not sure of FTP detection method for buying HH, but why risk it? I mean they are known to lock accounts fairly lightly and are also known to not reverse decisions once you are banned and they have confiscated funds. Maybe try just playing the game and not trying to break the rules?

I actually agree with you completely, i just dont think datamining is that big of a crime. And yes, i wish it were still possible because i find the HEM/PT3 stats are mostly useless without masses amounts of hands.
