Disagreed. Publicly pressuring players that steal from others has shown to increase the chances that they pay back.
Scammers and thieves are often weak minded, that's why they resort to the tactics they do (whether they are in a bad place, bad upbringing, not saying they are all terrible people or deserve death or anything like some people here seem to think).
Anyways, it's not that far off from poker, where putting some pressure can result in positive results. I'm talking about public ridicule, not violence.
I know a lot of people do it for the lolz or to satisfy some own issue of their own, but that doesn't change the fact that it is helpful to apply some pressure to scammers here.
