As you may or may not be aware, our limit rake structure has long been out of touch with the structures provided by other industry leading poker sites.

For quite some time, we at CarbonPoker have been lobbying hard to have this changed. Working with our partners at Drag The Bar, Hunter Bick in particular, we have put many hours into the review of our current structure, competitive analysis throughout the industry, and with discussions with some of our most loyal customers.

All of this hard work by Hunter and our team has finally paid dividends, with Merge now agreeing to our request for change. The approval was given the green light a couple of weeks ago, and after final review and QA testing, will finally been pushed live into the game client at 12am tomorrow morning.

There were initially reports that this change would only apply to Limit Hold’em games. This, while true at the time, is no longer the case. Whilst we were reviewing the LHE structure, we were also reviewing all other limit variations as well. We just were not certain that we would be able to roll out a change across all limit game variations at the same time. Thankfully, those fears were put to rest, and this change will now be made across all fixed limit game variations, such as; Omaha, Omaha8, 5-Stud, 7-Stud, Stud H/L8, Razz, HORSE, HA, HOSE, SHOE, HO, A-5 Lowball, 2-7 Lowball, 5-Draw, 5-Draw w/Joker, HAR, RASH. Thanks also go to Big Bad Babar from 2+2 that spent lots of time and effort putting together some mixed game competitive analysis.

Overall, we are exceptionally happy with these changes that Merge are making, and feel that it will now puts us in a position to offer some of the best value fixed limit games, in relation to any of our competitors, worldwide.

This is going live at midnight? How about a Merge wide announcement on all skins and even a limit games promo for this weekend?

Merge has their work cut out for them bringing people back to this site. Don't let this change go un-noticed. Not everyone reads 2+2.

I currently have a Hero Acct which I haven't used and have no idea if it has rb or what the VIP system is.

Could someone please send me any info on what my best options are in terms of rb/vip as barring some significant changes to Pstars for LHE I will def. move my action to merge.

I'm in USA and haven't kept up on PS VIP but are you saying...given that PS and Merge now have the same rake structure, you would pick Merge over PS? Especially if you can get PS multi-100K Supernova?

I am currently SN on Stars and absolutely. Currently the rb on stars for a 6 max player is about 40% with no additional perks that interest me. I'd imagine that the highest rb on merge is better then that + they have softer games.

I'd ask you what is better about Pstars?

I told you guys it would be a great change... The icing on the cake of course is that all fixed limit games were addressed in one stroke!

Props to BBB for all the hard work he did via Skype, 2+2, and who knows what else. I know I had a bunch of people referred to me over the course of this by BBB asking questions and sharing data and vice versa.

Another big thanks to Hunter/DTB, and thanks to Management at Carbon/PDC/Aced as well as any other skins who may have pitched in support behind the scenes!

Stupid Q.....this is Merge wide correct? I mean, it would have to be right?

Second Q: I don't see if they are still raking in .20 cent increments. The linked chart only talks in terms of max rake. Can someone clarify?

Two thread going on right now, but the increment is an important question that needs answering.

Nothing is better on PS if you are a USA player forced to leave the country. I'll be happy as a clam to see 10 or more games of every limit holdem stake running on Merge. The opposite is true right now. In the last few months Merge has dried up considerably. Hopefully things get better.

I'm an equal opportunity hater. I hate Merge and Lock's Revolution. I don't care where we all play but the limit pool is so small we all need to be playing on the same site be it Merge or Revolution.
