I'm not going to insult Cake Poker (yet) but this is a pretty big mistake, you can't promise someone $2000/card (which I have seen several times in the past and AFAIK were not mistakes) and then say "Oh sorry, it was really a freeroll with a $.60 overlay".
I'm going to head to bed. I guess I'll let Cake figure this out in the morning.

come on use your head. theyve already had this problem with the 3h/3c cards this week, it's misleading wording or just outright wrong wording in the 'rewards' sections. if they gave out 2k per 5h cake would go bankrupt.
also, this is what i see:
"$2,000 Prize Pool!"
does not necessarily mean 2k cash. i really really hope it does, im on your side here if it does, because i would be 140k richer.

I'm sure he saw what I saw earlier. See screenshot from my earlier post:

1. The 3h is redeemable for $1,500 cash, according to the Cake client. I believe it's actually redeemable for entry to a $1500 PP tourney. Not the same thing.
2. I can't actually redeem it. It seems that actually using GCs in the daily lottery is still in your programmers' TODO list.

|
So since the redeem button wasn't working, can I expect my account to be credited $181,500?

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
I was playing at a site called "Century Poker" which was very small & I really liked this site. But their traffic eventually got so small that they closed up shop & sent their players (with their loyalty points which where changed to gold chips - which a had a lot of) to a skin of Cake called "ONLYPOKER".
I have seen that the "Cake Network" with all it's skins doesn't have much traffic anymore. And I'm assuming that the Cake skin I was transferred to must not have many players at all. Again...it's called "ONLYPOKER" & I never run into anybody else playing from there.
I recently sent them an E-mail in regards to what has happened to all the tournies they used to have daily that were satellite tourneys that you used your gold chips to enter. If you finished in the top 5 or 10 or 15 (depending on tourney)...you won an entry into a cash tourney. These have disappeared from my Cake skin.
It has been several days now & I haven't received a reply from them & this really has me worried. Has anybody heard of this skin of Cake's called "ONLYPOKER"?
I would guess there is no way I can transfer from ONLYPOKER to play at the Cake site (along with the money in my account, the gold cards, & the gold chips). I would get rakeback there...which I don't get at this skin.
I have had over $500 in this account & I guess I should have cashed out then....now that I find out I have to have at least that much to get a check which I think I read here that they charge you $50 for....incredible.
I miss the days so bad when Americans could use Neteller.
Also...when "Century Poker" closed & transferred all it's players & their info to "ONLY POKER"....I know they sent along my documents that I had to supply Century before doing my 1st withdrawal & I ended up doing several of them...& all my account info is all still the same.
But I assume they will make me send the same documents to them all over again to cash out. If they are still in business.
I won't go into all the other issues I have with this skin here.....suffice to say...they are numerous.
I would appreciate any comments, info, suggestions, in regards to these issues. THANK YOU

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
Note that it says cash, not prize pool, tournament or anything else. They changed the promotion after I tried to collect it and had back and forth with their support trying to troubleshoot their software so I could receive this prize. They then retroactively changed it. I certainly see that this could have been an error but this is pretty ridiculous that their support agreed I had won this money, worked with me to collect it and confirmed the promotion.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
The gold card exchange is interesting. I will give them that. I'm going to take a crack at what my best estimate of the value and market prices of the cards will be. Of course this all depends on what Cake decides to run but based on my experience/guess this is my take. The following is for 2010/2009 vintages; 2007-2008 are probably worth a bit more and I think almost any 2006 card is worth quite a lot. For cards 9 or higher and especially face cards the suits start to matter. Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades is the ascending order of value like in Contract Bridge. Feel free to argue for or disagree, let me know if I'm way off:
Any 2 through 5 may be worth a buck or two depending on what tournies Cake runs but realistically won't sell for more than pennies because any reg/grinder has dozens or hundreds of them.
6: $1
7: $2
8: $3
9: $5-$8
10: $10-$15
J: $20-$25
Q:$30-$50
K: $60-$100
Ac: $125
Ad: $200
Ah: $500
As: Unique, who knows. I think they paid $1500 for one in the past but based on it being a 1 in 5,000,000 shot it should be worth a lot.
We'll see if the market agrees with me!
10% commission seems a little steep.

Apparently they changed it to a freeroll. I don't see it in the promotions anymore though. Someone took a screenshot of what it showed earlier in the thread.

They didn't change anything, it was always the freeroll listed in the game client`s tournament list.
Their support had a brain fart in thinking you would get $2,000 and you were taking a shot and angle shooting if you really thought you could get that money since only an total moron could think that a 5 hearts gold card would be worth that much.
Now if you`re just trying to make them look silly for being sloppy in their software and their support having that brain fart that`s fine.

Seems to be where'ish the market is settling at. Obv there'll be a bump in valuation when the 7+ tournies are scheduled (so much damn oversupply in <6 that no one will really be lacking in them so only negligible demand bump that is easily absorbed)

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
Some guy named Lucker88 is making money by being a market maker on the exchange right now.... pretty funny to watch. I wonder if more people will come in and compete.
I don't have $ on Cake right now otherwise I'd try it myself.

The spreads are so wide right now it looks beatable... for example he bought 7s for $.65 and sold it for $1.50 in a few hours.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
It's pretty awesome Lee,
though it would indeed be more fun when the Gold Cards gain value somehow instead of those freerolls where actually nobody but micro-grinders care about
I would suggest implementing the Match & Win simultaneously because there will be a lot of transactions. Make the rewards a little less than the previous boards, no more $5k for 2x Kh for example but for example 1k/2kish, Kh cards will be sold at a pretty high value (10% fee makes money for Cake). I think this would do very well.

+1
All the promotions in the world does no good when the software is problematic and players have a hard time trying to find a way to deposit.
