I have no clue how or what to do. Deposit options seem very limited on this. Netspend going out of online poker funding has hurt in my case. It makes it near impossible to get a small deposit on pokerworld which is the site on cake I like to play on. I know there are other deposit options out there but too many hoops for my small deposits.

I hope the network bounces back. I enjoyed pokerworld for the most part.
why in the world would you continue to play there??? PS, FTP, and CEREUS are way better options. Hell, at this point even MERGE or Bodog seem to be better options.

Sorry if I am wrong
he obviously studied rigorously The Elements of Poker...

Having seen that player I asked Tommy Angelo a few months ago if he plays on the Cake Network and the answer was no. It is someone else.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread

Cake Support,

Thanks for monitoring this forum. I did receive the email you sent from the Hotmail Cake Support Poker Account. I can tell by the content of the email message that you understand the situation and it will be resolved in a few days.

I still haven't received any emails from any email address in the cakepoker.com domain. This tells me that cakepoker.com has been blacklisted by Earthlink. You may want to check into this so that your future emails go through to your customers who use Earthlink.

Thank you for resolving my situation.

Regards,
David

Let's carry on the superuser debate in a more public place, where it's not buried in a 132-page long thread:

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but IIRC Cake refuses to provide you all the HHs like Stars does.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread

I'll ship $20 on FT to the person who provides the best/most thorough cliffnotes from the Official Cake Feedback Thread about this whole fiasco. They should post it here:

  • The Cake programmers, who, according to Lee himself, lied to him about the encryption when Lee asked them about it, have access to the network the servers are on.
  • Therefore, the Cake programmers could have superusered.
  • Cake does not allow datamining, does allow name changes, making it pretty much impossible for the community to check for superusers ourselves.

Opinion:
Any programmer who is responsible for a program that deals with millions of dollars, such as the Cake software, is either incredibly incompetent or intentionally malicious when he uses a fake encryption such as the one used.

Questions:
Lee,
  • Since when has there been no encryption on Cake? We need a timeline, even if only for those of us who suspect they were hacked on their own local network.
  • How do we know there have not been any super-users (on your side) on Cake, considering that your software had this possibility and considering that you have taken away the players' possibilities to catch them ourselves?
These need to be answered.

I cannot believe that this is the same Lee Jones that worked at PokerStars back in the day.
