Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
I recently started playing Cake. The only problem with the software I have had is that twice it has seemed to "reset" a table I was playing and cleared all the previous table stats, chat etc. which wasn't a big deal to me.
I'm a low-volume, micro player so the lack of a VIP program is irrelevant to me. I like the rakeback, I only play 2-3 tables at a time so there is plenty of traffic at my level and the MTTs, while not as lucrative as PS or FTP, don't have thousands of players that you have to wade through. The only downside I really have is their limited deposit methods. I ended up using ewalletxpress because they don't have e-checks and I couldn't get one of their mysterious usemywallet invitations.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
Wow, the Cake micros are full of people with FPS. All kinds of weird stuff you don't see on FTP. But I like the fact that the player base isn't that big, so once you get to know the players, you can adjust. Which makes it more interesting than robotic play by HUD numbers.

Sure PP doesnt have Rakeback, but still I think its a joke that you have to rely on Luck to use your cards or to win the Weekly Race, and that you cant sell them for Money, I think 1 Chip for 0.75$ would be fine.

I respectfully disagree. We're already getting 33% rakeback. Add in bonuses and it's more like 50%-55%. I don't see how there's much "room" available for a big rewards program, unless they want to be giving us back like 70% rakeback. Also I think gold cards and chips are great for branding purposes, as they differentiate Cake from almost every other poker room in the industry. Perhaps the prices in the store could be lowered in order to bring them in line with the overlays available in the gold chip tournaments. But I don't see anything wrong with the current rewards system that couldn't be fixed with some minor tinkering.
Another thing to consider is that any radical changes to the rewards program will leave thousands of players holding hundreds of thousands of gold cards/chips. Unless they are able to redeem them, there will be many angry customers. But if Cake allows gold cards/chips to still be redeemed after the introduction of a new VIP program, then players will have to contend with 2 different rewards programs operating simultaneously, which would be ridiculous. Thus I believe that the current system should only be changed slowly, if at all.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
Glad to know that sir.
Your software is good for massive multitabling with the mouse wheel blind increment option, but I think you could have also the following options for players (since there is no AHK for Cake):
. right mouse - fold
. double click left mouse - raise
. middle mouse (wheel button) - check/call
also, when I multitable a lot, Cake software crashes sometimes and if I am playing 18 sitngo's its a pain in the ass to sit in, in all of them. Auto sit in if I time out would be very nice (obviously after reconecting)
Thank you very much
P.S. Please add "Double or Nothing" 6max to your STT list

Here's what I can tell you. I just deposited half a grand or so because of how great the bonus/rakeback sounded.
Being a US player, I had to go leaps and bounds to deposit, I finally found a green dot visa that would work. After a few days there, I decided to withdraw through Ewalletxpress due to software glitches/bugs/no sound control(that I could find), not liking the software overall.
I sent my request in and I woke up the next day to an email from "Cake security" Stating that I needed to provide them with an ID stating that I live at the address I provided, 2 utility bills, cbc, urine, and marrow sample.
Why does this site need to be such a headache?
I responded to them Informing them that I don't see why it is needed when my info on ewallet and cake match and It was a valid non shady transaction.
I also told them that my drivers license (Photo ID) isn't up to date, I had just moved 2 months ago, and that if I had to, I would send them a pic of 2 util bills from the previous addy and the new addy + DL.
Dead silence. No response. Mailed again, no response.
I just think it's ridiculous. Echecks would help greatly.
And 500.00 for a check? It's like your money is on lock down. Because of this I'd rather play on stars with the somewhat seemless software without rakeback and the nifty gold card thingy to have piece of mind with my money and come and go as I please.
Just an honest opinion.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
To add to that withdrawal piece, when I was asked to provide scans of my stuff, I spent hours trying to figure out what was going on because Cake says my scans were too blurry. I have a pretty new scanner, have never had a problem with it, but I must've had to rescan my stuff 8 or 9 times before it was accepted.
I'm also over 2 weeks gone since requesting my check without so much as a tracking number.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
my first impressions of cake was it was a glitchy, ugly, unusable software. after some tweeking and changing some options ive made cake my new home. I really like the 33% rakeback, totally awesome.
some suggestions would be
- a time bank would be nice, i time out sometimes and its frustrating when it only gives u about 15 seconds to make an important decision. tilts me bad.
- wish the tile tables would work properlly, they dont set in place like FTP or Stars. again kinda annoying, got used to it over time thou.
- maybe try adding some more items in the store? seems to take a really long time to earn gold chips. cant even get a t-shirt even with my high MGR compared to FTP. but cant Really complain with the rakeback + gold cards.
- would be cool if you could increase the gc 500 prizes. i was checking back on the history and it seemed to have the same prize pool for 2+ years.
- yah some more deposit options like echeck or instadebit ( canadian resident) would really elevate this site.
- software sometimes shuts down or the tables reset. really wierd. but doesnt happen too often, maybe once -3x a week.
some highlights of the site:
- the gold cards are cool, makes u feel like your on a mission and you want to try complete the whole 52 card deck. i get really excited when i earn a gold card. and i get somewhat jealous when other ppl on the table get theres b4 me lol. definately makes me want to play more.
- gc500 race is another incentive to increase play and make it worthwhile. lol cant wait for the day when i win up to 500.
- i thought the fact of having no HUD would be a bad thing. turned out to be a real good thing cause theres less robotic grinders. also the tables are a bit softer than stars or ftp, which is nice bonus.
- daily updated rake back so you can see all your hard earn cash.
overall excellent site. it exceeded my expectations. i used to be a big FTP lover. the unique charisteristics of this site keeps you coming back for more.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
Moving off as soon as the month end rakeback is deposited. The software is descent, but I hate when it opens a new "Connecting...." window for every window that is open when it seems to think it loses its internet connection.
-Traffic is really bad, even at microlimits. I would suggest limiting max tables to 4-6, as at any given time there are only 15-20 tables of 10NL or 20NL. I find that every table has 2-3 of the same nitty regs/rakeback whores.
-I would implement 50bb minimum buyins for all tables. Because the rakeback is based on the dealt method, there are tons of tables at 50NL with people having 20-30BB in front of them. What is the point?
-Can you pay rakeback weekly? I bet it would keep people playing more.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
I've been playing at Cake for almost a year now and I can't wait for you guys to update the software. Here are the changes I'd like to see:
- Add a timebank and auto-rebuy function
- Fix the annoying note glitch (I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about)
- Fix the tile tables option.
- Is it possible for the software not to crash at the end of every f'ing session??
- I'd like to have hole cards and see a flop (every time) after I've raised please. Thanks. Hard to play without cards...
- I have a bunch of gold chips and cards that are utterly useless. I'm pretty sure the store could be improved.
- This is minor but I think the Join Wait List window you added is pretty useless and annoying. It only let's you sit at 8 tables max and it pops up every time you add yourself to a waiting list. Just clicking the waiting list button would be ok imo. Also, it'd be a good idea to highlight the tables you're already sitting at in the lobby.
- It would be nice if support actually read emails and not answer with email templates all the time.

I play there a good bit and I've never seen any of these problems. The no limit games are pretty nitty, when they are I play the limit games. They seem more profitable

I say less rebuy tournaments Lee, especially in the gold card or gold chip tournaments.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread
I actually disagree about removing the notes thing, but I figure I'm in a strong minority here. I don't think there's much wrong if someone is keen enough to take a note for it to not potentially be lost every week.
