Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread

how is the state of the 100nl+ 6-max game on cake? I downloaded the software and the tables seem awfully nitty compared to FTP but people still says it's softer.

Pretty much brand new to Cake, and during my first week, while perusing the completed tournaments lobby, I came across a tournament whose entry fee was a 9 from 2007. Prize pool: $1500. Number of players: 4. Three cashed.

MBN.

Just so everybody knows, Matt emailed me privately. He did, indeed, find an important bug and we shipped him $50. Thanks Matt.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread

I think most of you are aware of this by now, but we're 100% tournament break sync'd now (modulo SNGs with fewer than 30 players).

If you see anything that isn't, please ship an email to support ASAP.

Best regards,

Yeah, it's kind of weird that it's a "secret".

I'm a Stars grinder who just moved to Cake. The software is finicky, but with the Lock poker skin I find the Cake software/server surprisingly smooth. Is there any way to change the card faces, though? I find the standard decks on all PokerSites god awful. It is bothersome to be misreading your cards, especially if you're tired or you've been grinding all day. I miss my simple, ultra-bold and colorful deck at Stars.

+1

Lee, why are the cards stacked over each other?
Is there any reason that my own cards can't be clear visible?
In small few, playing 12+ tables its a pain, show both cards clear visible without stacking one card over the other card should be a priority.
Maybe your programmer can check out Carbons mini view, they have a nice approach.

I'm still waiting on a cashout from 10/21. Are you guys having processor issues? They provided me a tracking number but nothing has moved since 11/11. Sigh....

It was nothing worthy of a LeCarre' novel, I promise. Matt found a small esoteric security loophole that was never going to cost any of our players (or us) so much as one thin dime. I just reported back here mostly to close the loop and to publicly thank Matt for spotting it.

There's really nothing to see here folks; let's go look at something else.

As far as "Playing poker and beta testing" at the same time, you can't have it both ways. I'm not happy with the current quality of our software, so I've made an overt offer to the community: ship me good bug documentation and I'll ship you moniez. The alternative is that we simply pretend that there are no bugs. The documentation that people have sent me has, in multiple instances, directly resulted in the bug being fixed. For instance, the "three-way all-in hand history" bug, which will disappear in the early December software release, was never properly documented until some players did it.

I don't call that beta testing; I call it paying money to customers who help us make our software better. Don't you wish (e.g.) Microsoft would do that?

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread

Found a bug. Might be because of Windows 7 or something else but I noticed while 8 tabling I suddenly couldnt see chips when being bet or even cards. When the flop came and I was in a hand I had to go by chat to find out what cards came. I couldnt see if anyone bet before me either. Then any new tables opened up were all white except the names... I dont use avatars, I use the simple skin. I am worried about multitabling because of this. I don't want to lose money because of some software bug like I did today...

The only thing resolving it was for me to restart the poker software. I have a top of the line pc and a good internet connection so neither are the case. I can multitable 12+ on stars and FTP without any problems.

Re: Official CakePoker Feedback Thread

Lee,

A quick question. I play 5-10 almost daily and the only pros Ive seen at the pro tables are mike caro and todd brunson. On the cake site you guys listed like 12 guys including Ilari 'Zigmund' Sahamies, Doyle Brunson, Eric 'Rizen' Lynch, and Phil 'Unabomber' Laak. Do they not play or are they using some weird ass nickname.... fwiw Mike caros nick is Mike_caro and todd brunson nick is T_Brunson
