Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

It only cost you $40 to cash out from UMW? I just got a wire from them (Quicktender) and it cost me $50 total. The $30 flat fee, $10 wire fee from my bank and another $10 mystery fee from the "correspondent bank". I wrote to them many times and still have not got to the bottom of where the missing $10 went. They just play dumb. The amount i recieved was not the amount they sent. I know its only $10 but it was a hidden charge that i wasnt aware of. I think this is the same company as Ecocard just under a different name. I'm not dealing with them anymore, too shady. Jip-artists.

From the QuickTender website...
Fee Schedule for QuickTender Account Holders:
# Service Fees *
1. Registration Fee Free
2. Credit Card Deposits 5%
3. Withdrawals to Bank Account or Check via regular mail $30 flat fee***
4. International bank wire deposits Free **
5. Payment to an online merchant Free
* All fees are subtracted in US Dollars; Fee Schedule for any QuickTender account denominated in another currency is calculated in accordance with the current date exchange rate.
** Subject to any fees and charges as imposed by any third-party being an intermediary between QuickTender Account Holder and QuickTender Payment System
*** Subject to correspondent bank fees and charges for international transfers

...I think QuickTender is OK as long as your withdrawals are large enough to make the $30-$50 fee less important. I think the $10 hidden fee you mention really is some 3rd party fee that gets charged to you on the way from them to your bank. Probably another bank. They probably have to go through some kind of processor beyond themselves to make the transactions possible with minimum chance of being tracked down by the Feds. I think the same thing happened to me with a withdrawal from another company, not QuickTender. I withdrew to my bank account, the company used wire transfer as the method, then I saw that what I received was about $10 less than what I withdrew, and my bank charged a fee as well. Oh well, some day there will be a Neteller-like service for us and we'll all be happy again.

There is no posted maximum. That's why imo, QuickTender is going to end up being the method of choice in the post-ePassporte era. I don't know enough about the company to say for sure, but I think they're on the right track, $30 fee to cashout, no max or very large max. ePassporte's maximums were puny and the idea of having to go down to the ATM machine to physically take out some limited amount of money over and over again, or make many ACH cashouts to get your large amounts out was a big hassle.

Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

ok so how do we go about obtaining invites to usemywallet and why the **** do we need invites in the first place.

It kind of pisses me off that we all play on the same site yet cake won't let everyone use this.

Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

UMW looks interesting, but their website is extremely short on details.

Cake support emailed me and told me that they would "soon" be expecting the ability to create UMW accounts for their customers.

The great thing about epassporte was for the lower stakes players, having direct ATM access.

Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

UseMyWallet, QuickTender and EcoCard are all the same company. I used EcoCard at Prima and it worked very well and it IS used for many other things, mostly in Europe, besides gambling (unlike ePassporte and Neteller) theres a very good chance it could be here to stay long term.

If you are not already a UseMyWallet / Quicktender member then you need to be invited by a merchant to get an account which is why there is no place on their website to register a new account.

Cake will be able to set up accounts for their players "shortly"...who knows when "shortly" is though.

I already had a EcoCard / Quicktender account so I was able to withdraw via UseMyWallet already. It works much much better than ePassporte for players making larger withdrawals. For smaller withdrawal, youre kind of screwed though.

Thanks for summarizing everything that was already known. Can somebody think of some new ways to say the same stuff over and over?

There you go. I said it over again and wasted some more bandwidth just like you did.

This may be the dickiest post I have ever seen on here.

I found Icemans post to be insightful and relevant.

Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

I too found icemans post helpful. Its always more comforting to hear good reviews about an online wallet I had never heard of.

Iceman, do you know if you have to make a deposit first using quicktender, or can you begin withdrawing immediately?

Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

To add to this I just got a quicktender account. I signed up at an online casino, then emailed them asking for and invite to quicktender. In 24 hours I had my invite and my quicktender account set up. I just tried cashing out of cake so I'll report back with how it goes.

Re: Cake Poker Withdrawals

To make this valid as a means of moving funds between sites it would have to also be accepted at other sites. Does anyone know who else accepts this form of payment?

Was that of any assistance, or would a giant GOOGLE banner be better for ya?
