I think this happend a few days back, but I have not been able to get ahold of anyone from cakepoker via email FOR 5 DAYS.

So i went on cakepoker.com and I was redirected to cakepoker.eu!!! The horror story here is when I tried emailing support@cakepoker.eu or cashier$cakepoker.eu i got this message In my aol mail box---> mailbox unavailable or not local


Someone please correct me if I am wrong but, It appears that cake has found a way to screw over all of there USA customers by cutting us off from communication

Yeah, like they have a chance in the euro market.

They changed to .eu so the U.S. DOJ wouldn't be able to seize Cake's domain name if they ever tried to like they did to Stars, Tilt, UB.

I haven't seen anybody else saying anything about the e-mail address not working. Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?

I'm guessing about the .eu change, but it seems obvious. Also the e-mail problems could temporary and have something to do with the switch if they just made it recently. I've never played on Cake, but I've heard they have live support in the client. Have you tried that?

Nah, Unfortunatley they do not have a live support option. The only type of communication they offer is Via email. I deff did not make a mistake. I mean if you look on there website which is cakepoker.eu and go to the "support tab" you will see all of there email addresse's end in .eu.

So I am assuming the .com email addresse's no longer work. And when I try to email the .eu address I get a returned email saying your message has failed to be deliverd.

This is a very scary situation, I have had a 2.7k check stuck in pending status for almost a month, and now It seems that I can not even communicate with them as I am a USA player.

I would speculate that the email issue is just temporary. If they have changed domains then the chances are this is just an oversight. Even if they were stopping catering to US customers, they would still need a live support address for the rest of the world.

A bit uncalled for. I just tested the email address and he's right, it doesn't exist yet is published on their site.

i dont doubt that at all, but that's a lot different than saying omg US customers have been cut off. obviously emails aren't going to bounce only from US customers and obviously its related to them switching and not from cutting anyone off.

That's a much fairer response but I can also see the other side of the coin. Players are super paranoid just now and it is understandable to panic a little bit when you see the domain change to .eu and a support email address that doesn't exist.

I agree though as I said above that it is most likely an oversight on their part.

I'd assume it is fairly common for the web development and infrastructure teams to not be on the same page.

Cake poker seems like one of the worst places to have money. The only ones that are worse are FT as a US player and WSEX (and maybe some other sites that I have not heard of).

email adress is not fully functional yet, has nothing to do with being from the US, everyone gets a "mail delivery failure" when using that email, I'm from Denmark and it's the same for me

I don't even consider WSEX a site for poker. They are lucky to have 1 table going at any given moment. If they have 30 players online it is peak time.

OP it is probably that Cake has not set up their mail server properly as of yet. Wait a few days and see what happens. Don't even see why you want to play on cake at this moment. If you do want to play on cake, I would advise pokerworld as the skin to play on. Heard some good things about them and doubt they can be worst than cake.

The domain cakepoker.com is still valid, it is just being redirected to cakepoker.eu by their web server. So have you simply tried the original email address? There is also still a valid MX (mail exchange) record for cakepoker.com which means email is still being routed for the original domain.

Edit: I emailed support@cakepoker.com and cashier@cakepoker.com and neither one bounced.

You kind of jumped the gun there OP.

I just sent an email to support@cakepoker.com asking about the domain change and a pending withdrawal and insta got a response.

Yep that's what I've been saying to ppl if you want to play and stay away from cakepoker.eu then deposit your money on ppnpoker.eu yes their part of the cake network but they process their own deposits and withdrawals they have live support 12 hours per day e-mail support always gets back pretty fast and the best part which i like is the CEO Chuck Kid has a chatroom on the site/poker lobby and is always there to help if needed especially for the USA players i'm trying to get an official thread going for PPNPOKER.EU but don't know how to start it some advice would be welcomed.

Although cake poker did not announce its email address change to .eu. It seems like they are answering emails again as of a few days ago.

It looks like what happend was there email was shut down for a few days during the maintanice, which is when I orginally emailed them.

But it appears they are now back, some good news in recent bad light for cake network

Looks like Cakepoker and UB/AP is not the worst after all thank you FULL TILT!!!!
