This has affected the way my computer runs especially my bovada app. It will quit unexpectedly whenever I am in bad wifi areas of the home. And when that happens I can't reboot the app until I restart the laptop. Also seems to just up and quit at random here and there but has been getting a lot better as of late.

I think it just comes down to how well your machine runs. Rarely have problems on the iMac but have had a few app quit unexpectedly but not nearly as many as my shotty macbook pro. Like 10 times better.

Not running Yosemite but the one below it I think.
Do you have an Apple TV? I ask because the AirPlay feature will cause Bovada to crash or run very laggy.

This might help de-lag the client some for you...

It's improved things for me!

Also I set sound to no sound since it doesnt work anyways. It killed the color "waiting" wheel in the client for me and made tables playable with no delay.

I downloaded the client today, but when I try to open it, it says:

I've been experiencing this issue for almost a full year now and since steadily playing on the site since August have had their software crash at least 95% of the sessions I play. I have been in constant contact with them and have spent over 30 hours on phone with numerous people at different levels who keep trying to feed me lies saying that it is on my end and that the software is working perfectly.

They finally escalated the issue to their technical team last week who was also about as useless as everybody else I've dealt with and further escalated it to the developers. I got this email today from them.

We're contacting you with regard to the crashing issues you've encountered on the Poker software. Our Poker Developers investigated and confirmed that there were no issues with the Poker software during the time of the incident. Your crash logs also shows that there might be a network issue on your end.

If you need further assistance in troubleshooting the Poker software, don't hesitate to contact us.

We’re available to help 24/7 if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Poker Customer Service

Talk about taking 10 steps backwards after one step forwards. I am very upset at how poorly they have handled the situation and how they still continue to blame me for their problems. I guess I shouldn't be, given the amount of glitches and poorly designed software they have with regards to usability and overall aesthetics, but it blows my mind the software that they've designed is something that they feel is working perfectly...

smh

Is Bovada more stable on Parallels running Windows 7 or Windows 10?

Has anyone ever got bovada to start running properly for them. I still have mine lock up on me often the little pinwheel starts spinning and I have to force quit. Sometime as soon as I log in and it continues for 3 or 4 logins in a row other times very random and very few. Then it can also be very often and very random one time every new game I start then other times just one game going and can't keep it open

^ I try not to open any new Windows/games unless I have to. I try not to look at the previous hand and look at the tournament lobby's.

I'm a cash game player and can usually get 4 tables up if I do it one at a time. It takes a lot longer and I miss some of the better seats because of this. I try not to change tables and when I do get my 4 tables up I change the lobby to zone or the casino.

Sucks... The best advice is not to open any new tables/windows in the middle of a hand.

I have been having a similar problem. I haven't been able to figure out what may be causing the locking-up. Clicking slower through the lobby and games may help but there is definitely a major SW bug that needs to be addressed. Has anyone contacted customer service to see if they are working on a SW fix?

Many times they say they are aware and working on it

Recently had top set on 1/2 zoom and had the spinning wheel of death after the guy checked to me and he ofc bet on the turn which made quads for me ofc. Luckily I sent in the HH on Bovada and while they gave me the spiel of "not a fault on our end" they at least gave me my PF raise back which is nice i guess.

Either way I get that damn spinning wheel at least 3 times in a session and some times even upwards of 10 times if I am doing sit and goes or tournaments. Like OGslikrick said just gotta keep a bare minimum of apps running in the background and don't look at lobbies/HH.

Just updated to the El Capitain OS and the Bovada poker app won't load. I get an error message saying PowerPC app won't run on this OS...

Any advice?

Same thing happened to me. Im running OS X 10.9.5 on my iMac desktop and it won't run the client with the same error message above??

My laptop runs OS X 10.11.2 and when i open the poker client it now tries to do a live update and gives me this error message: "There seems to be a temporary problem affecting the Poker client installation. We will continue to attempt to download the client.(Host liveupdate.dab76.com not found)" But this worked as recently as two nights ago.

What's going on? Annoying.

I can't remember how you get around this but I know it is simple I think you don't open in finder right click it and a box opens up and give you an option to open anyway. Go to bovada live it may give an example

sudo chmod g+rx BovadaPoker
It will ask for your password (for your mac, not for Boavada).
This fix worked for me. All it's doing is adding read and execute permissions for the program. It's safe to try even if you're not sure what you're doing. As long as you copy and paste, I don't think it could mess anything up.
I don't know why the permissions weren't set to begin with. Could be something funky with the user groups on my system.
That fixed it.
