Is anybody else lagging to the point of unplayability?

I've had hands where the client takes around 50 seconds to get back on pace with the action.

Anyone else experience the issue where the software crashed and wouldn't reopen? I tried re-installing & rebooting but haven't found the solution quite yet. Any help is appreciated.

Been playing on my MBP 6,2 just fine, if you're having problems w/ the handshake issue...

1. Boot up MBP, restart if running.
2. Set your date back to around March 20th, 2015, leave the time.
3. Open Bovada.

It should update almost immediately if the date is correct and within a minute, it should be connecting to the server.

When I first tried this, I tested the server and joined a cash game, no prob.
Checked out the MTTs that were running and I was able to join one that had already begun, NP... so I thought.

The problem is trying to reg. for a MTT that HASN'T stated yet. You simply can't.
Since the date is set back o far back, it prevents you from reg'ing for anything until AFTER it has begun. The register button is grayed out and can't be clicked until then.

So you're gonna have to do a lot of lobby checking if you multi-table to avoid missing hands and info at the table. I have a dual monitor setup so I open all the tourney lobbies I want to play, arrange them on 1 monitor so that I can see when each tourney starts.

I arrange the tourney lobbies from closest start time (bottom) to farthest start time (top). When a table pops up, I close that lobby ASAP and the next closest one should be visible. It's important to arrange the lobbies of the next couple that are closest to starting so that you can always see the "starts in 12 minutes" part of the lobby at all times.

Either that or set an alarm on your phone to avoid lobby hunting.

I rebooted one last time after it not working multiple times, and it finally worked. Although it only seems to be a temporary fix, because it just crashed again. Another reboot got things going again, but I wonder how long it'll last before the next inevitable crash...

I just researched Bovad not responding on Mac, discovered the latest update has a gatekeeper update as well. Here are instructions on how to get to it and then click continue on a program you want to install

Hey guys I skimmed the thread and didn't see it but does anyone have a solution to the macbook pro lobby issue? The top of my lobby is beyond my tool bar and am not able to ever move the lobby or tables. I bought a new external monitor today hoping this would fix the problem but nothing has changed. I can't even move my tables to my side monitor, only resizing. Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you go to bovada.lv on any mobile device's web browser it will take you to a mobile version of the poker client that can be played.

I recently started playing with an external monitor and the note function will not work when the monitor is plugged in. The drop down will pop up but then it takes off to the top of the screen, as if its floating away and disappears.

I tried changing the screen resolution but that was no help.

Just want to thank everyone who posted that google DNS solution, it worked perfectly and almost seems faster than usual!. Im wondering though, why not use this public domain all the time instead of your usual one? is there some drawback? am i supposed to just switch back to my usual DNS server when i'm done with my session?

Just have never heard of this until a few minutes ago and rather computer illiterate, appreciate the help!

quick edit: I just reverted back to my usual DNS server and tried to log into bovada and it worked?! without the google DNS im saying.. So weird i just don't get computers lol

Public DNS will very often be faster than whatever your default DNS was (typically the one set by your ISP). There are easy ways to check whether this is indeed the case if you want a concrete answer.

I had to reinstall the software in addition to changing the DNS settings.

Is anyone having a problem with Bovada after the latest Mac OS update? I'm getting the SSL handshake error after my computer automatically updated.
