After you raised preflop bet the flop always then:

1) go all in with TP or overpair
2) fold with less
3) keep betting with TP or overpair if called on flop


Anyway it makes much more sense to use a bot for it then a stable of horses that can steal, misclick, screw up or get independent.

They're either not colluding or they're intentionally taking a % of flips to try and fool anyone watching as they do get it in with each other if they have premium holdings. I've seen 2 way and 3 way AIPF (2 bots, one victim -- victim sucked out and won).

My best guess at this point would be single human multiaccounter/botter that didn't implement any table avoidance or account avoidance logic to avoid detection. Flipping with yourself with Supernova rakeback on < 1% of hands is a very very small loss to take for $10k+/mth in profits (tables profits plus RB over all accounts).

I programmed a winning bot in 2001 in VB. I never advanced passed VB nor worried much about CS stuff. It was never more than a laugh for me, but I know many other bot writers. I know people who have worked with all the major sites, and have implemented schemes to drive traffic.

Although I would immediately discount any response saying they don't ever use bots (they definitely don't deserve as much respect for there integrity as the zoo gives them), in this case I find unlikely it is Stars directly behind this.

I don't think it is actually humans follow a system either, these systems run by syndicates tend to run smaller in scale (4-5 people maximum).

I'm a very big poker fan myself, and playing online a lot... lost about a month income playing at PS over a year WITHOUT knowing about rake... but I don't mind, I think it's all part of a learning experience.

Because I noticed whole bunch of players playing at at least 8 tables the same way over and over again, folding to any bet if they didn't hit a flop, never even slow playing or bluffing, got suspicious too...

So I started to try to tag them and outsmart them with calling a lot with every type of card and make them fold with blufs. It started to work after a while, but mostly until a draw-dead or bad-beat. (which I found out is quite the style of new school playing, except for the draw-deads and bad-beats )

But in fact I think they really contribute in showing the usual old school play to the newbies (like I was 1 year ago and actually still am). And besides that, I remember when I was playing with a lot of fish at a table, the better players really got irritated by the bad play anyway...

It's just like playing against people, but they're more consistent, see them as a layer between the fish and the advanced players.

Thats the biggest problem with ratholing 20bb stacks. You dont need to be smart, only disciplined to make 120k a year.
