No info from FedEx no Info from Bovada yet... not liking some of these posts now...

had 2 checks back in august, one took 3 weeks exactly and the other took only 1 week exactly... went into the bank to deposit/cash and was able to receive half the funds from each check up front and had no problems, the checks cleared the next day... so here is to optimism...

Re: Bodog (Bovada) payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names)

My Bovada check for $2000 bounced on Nov 20th.....

Deposited it on Nov 5th.

Reason for bounce. My bank says "account closed" from the account Bovada used to send me the check.

Check was from "State Bank Of In*** (Canada)" From "Bram***" Canada

Called Bovada today. They asked me to fax them a copy of the "bad" check and "they would look into it."

Said "it could take 24-48 hours" to get me an answer.

This is BAD business Bovada. BAD

Requested 11/7
Approved 11/8
Tracking 11/21
Recieved 11/26

Check from east. A little less legit looking than most Bovada/Bodog checks but I think it will be fine. Will update

I guess you weren't aware that online poker and sports betting are under assault by the DOJ. These things are going to happen. It would be bad business if Bovada doesn't make good on the problem, but, so far, I believe they have eventually always done the right thing. And their track record for cash outs are otherwise better than most other US-facing sites.

Hate to burst ur bubble but you have zero reason to even post yet. You were given the 10 business days as a guide. You haven't even reached that time frame yet. I got my check today (11/26) that was approved on (11/7). During holidays (thanksgiving) and high volume sport events (superbowl) it can take a little longer for your payment. You will receieve your check just relax man.

I just cant believe that in this environment people even can complain about 2 or 3 days extra lol. You guys need to look at the big picture of the DOJ and the fact Bovada/Bodog has never missed one payment and always makes things right in the end....

PATIENCE

Re: Bodog (Bovada) payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names)

Yes - I AM aware of the DOJ battles....

Does not JUSTIFY Bovada sending out "bad" checks from banks that have "closed"

Also, when I called them today to tell them about the problem, they already knew DAMN well that my check was not good.

Why do they need 2 days to "look into it"??

All they had to do was pull up the bank info from my payout and ACKNOWLEDGE that they knew WEEKS AGO that that bank was no longer paying out....

BOVADA should have offered me an IMMEDIATE Western Union payout with NO FEES to make up for their f'kup instead on some BS about needing to "look into" the issue

Bad business.

Period.

I highly doubt Bovada sent you a check two weeks ago knowing it was no good. Stuff happens in this day and age of internet poker. IF you dont get that, we cant help you much.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU THINK IT IS ILLEGAL STILL. We all have to just deal with it when problems arise. Why dont you blame the DOJ and not bovada.

Instead of complaining on a forum to a bunch of poker players who already know this, why dont you take a few minutes to send a message to your state reps and senators addressing legalizing online poker in the U.S.A.

Bovada doesn't send you checks, they use payment processors. So Bovada may have no way to know the check is no good until you call and they check it out with the payment processor. Bank accounts that are used to send poker funds get shut down down by law enforcement, and by the banks themselves, not just because the processor decided to screw you today(although I suppose this could happen too.) We deal with these risks because the DOJ doesn't give us alot of other options. That said, Bovada is the best site for working through the issues and making sure you get your funds. I mean, you said yourself you "called" them. What other poker site can you call when you have a problem?

Re: Bodog (Bovada) payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names)

Come on guys, get it together. You should know by now that you are not even suppose to be withdrawing from Bodog. Shame on you!

Jonas Odman (Vice Prez of Bodog Network) is on record stating: "Money can only leave a poker eco system in two ways: through rake and withdrawals. Winning players are withdrawing players, and as a poker network our revenue will increase the fewer withdrawing players we have."

Re: Bodog (Bovada) payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names)

I tried to deposit my check through the ATM at bankofmmmmmmmmmmmerica.

They didn't accept the check.

I will try to deposit it through the teller tomorrow but if they ask where this check is from what should I say?

Can I just tell them to go **** themselves and mind their own business?

you know they sent you a sheet of paper that says what to do with it. You would be the only person ever not to get a letter with your package. especially after the change over to Bovada. It is for consulting work. say nothing more nothing less. Most times it is just the teller making small talk. But I would just smile and be polite as usual. Just think for yourself and be smart...its really not rocket science

BTW pls dont post bank names as it clearly says in the thread title.

Never tell them to go **** themselves. You always get more bees with honey than you do vinegar. I just tell bankers that it is payment for national or international consulting work. Never had a problem. Just be polite and confident. This is assuming they even ask. GL brother. Let us know how it goes.

I never got a sheet of paper or package you speak of. Instead I just got an email telling me I should deposit the check through the ATM and not mention about "online gaming".

I just want to be prepared if they happen to ask me a question. No need to act like a know it all stoner. Maybe you need to go smoke a bowl and go chill somewhere in your mommy's basement instead of trying to be condescending to a serious question.

Also, when they say don't mention the name of the banks, most likely it's the name of the bank on the check and not bankofmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmerica.

Re: Bodog (Bovada) payout thread for US players (DO NOT post bank names)

$2,175 payout approved 11/10/12

Received: 11/24/12 (9 business days).

I deposited in ATM. I got a call today from teller asking about the check. I advised bank rep it is a payment for affiliate marketing I am involved with. He was fine with that as he was just making sure it was not scam check.

All funds are available now.
