My check came quick...i left a note on the door and the check was left on my doorstep as i desired.

I made a request for a check 7/31. Approved 8/1. already rec.

My question is about the one free check a month. Does it go by request date or approved date?

I called and lady told me it goes by approved date, but when I look at my cashier it only tells me my request dates. Isn't this very misleading to get charged a fee? I was about to request a check today, but called to be safe... good thing I called.

Does anyone know 100% if they go by request or approved date? She honestly didn't sound too sure and I would of called her river bet but we weren't playing poker.

I must say this was my first time using the check to cash out and if I ever use that option again I will definitely make a new bank account somewhere else.. here is what happened..

I got the check from far east and have heard good stuff about it. I first tried my phone app for the check and it didn't work then I had no choice to go in person. ATM didn't read it.

I took it inside the bank and the lady looked bamboozled.. She didn't know what to do and went to tell one of the head hanchoes who sites in a cubicle. The guy told the lady something and the lady told me this. The bank ( even though it was far east) had another American banks name on it and told me to go cash it there and come back to deposit my money. I told them I wouldn't mind waiting for the collections but the lady had no idea what she was doing and insisted on it.

I go to the other bank and they told me they can't cash it either, and since im not a customer with them they cant send it into collections either. I go back to the original bank and explain them what just happened when the cubicle man decides to pull me aside.. while the lady who was confused on how to send it into collections leaves.

Im not going to lie it was my first time so I was a little nervous. He asked me what it was for, instead of being shady and telling him it aint his biz. I said I do website design work. He then asked me a few more stupid questions and then he thought I was some fool who was getting scammed.. He thought I was going to send them back some money or some stupid **** that people get scammed in and was making me out to look like a chump infront of the whole bank, eventually in a ( this is a bad idea type voice) told me he would send it to collections it will take 3 weeks and possibly not work.. I just said its okay sir, I have no other options, thank you have a nice day and left..

I seriously believe the bank was just straight ******ed.. Hopefully next time I withdraw and open a new bank account up they aren't the same way I really like Bovada but if this happens everytime it would suck.

FWIW, I did this about 1 1/2 years ago and it worked for me. They called their headquarters to verify if the check was good and I had to wait about an hour. I also didn't have an account there.

I've cashed out from Bovada a few dozen times by depositing at an ATM at 2 conglomerate banks. I tried with both banks today to no avail.

One ATM said it wouldn't take b/c it's a foreign check.
The other said it was unacceptable.

What's the next step? Depositing w/ a teller?

Yes, checks that don't work at the ATM go to the teller.

Trying to stay away from requesting check payouts as I've had quite a few recently.

Going on my 13th day of requested WU. Called again today and told same thing "WU is backed up, yada yada". With increased WU fees for cashout and an increasing number of people posting that WU is taking longer, this will be my last WU cashout for awhile.

If by last month you mean yesterday, then that's pretty standard for approval. My checks are all approved generally in 48 hours.

Anyone else playing from New York or another banned state? I believe they won't send checks to me and paying 7.5% vig for western union seems pretty unacceptable to me. What to do

I have no first hand knowledge but you should email/call Bovada.

I'm playing from ny, i havent cashed out yet. Wanted to this week, theres not option on my payout page for check. I was going to call and ask I hope this isnt the case.

I requested a WU on Friday morning like 4am (8-30), anyway it is still pending would it be faster to cancel and process as a check?
