Hi I read this forum a lot an go to it everytime I have a question or concern, I fineally signed up today so if I say anything wrong correct me or if I am not in the right thread just tell me thanks. got 3 checks from up north they came super fast my first one I deposited was on August 7th still hasn't been credited to my account so just waiting patiently my bank told me they are taking a lot longer to clear through the up north bank any body else have an issue like this I am probably just impatient.

FWIW, I took my check inside to the teller because I'm not a ****** and deposited it no problem as I've done before....however this time I was suprised when the teller mentioned a hold had been placed on the check because of its Northern origins(supposedly standard practice according to said teller). I was then told that my funds might not be available in full until after September 9th.

Yet today I go to my online banking and see that the entire amount had cleared and was fully available.....Bovada FTW!

Moral of story....if you deposit a check from up North and they mention a hold, do not freak out right away. I use a large, national bank that rhymes with "ACE" and there was NO additional fees or charges.

Just put in for a small check. Will see how it goes.

Be careful though, it can still bounce even after it's made available in your account. After 2-3 weeks if it hasn't bounced then it's likely cleared.

i highly doubt it could bounce after the full amount has been placed in my available funds....my bank always segregates funds until they are fully cleared

No they don't. This is a common misconception.

Yeah, I used to think that too. But I've had 2 poker checks bounce in the past 6 years from different sites after they were made available in my account balance.

Every site serving Americans will bounce checks occasionally.

UB and maybe Carbon/Full tilt, I forget because it was four years ago. But yeah, unless you want to gamble on it (Bovada checks usually don't bounce, but they have in the past) I would wait 2-3 weeks before using the money in your account even though it's listed as being available before that time frame.

Thanks! I've had a successful cash out by check last month. I have two more on the way this month. I'm thinking about doing WU but those fees seem really high. A bank wire seems like a good idea. I just don't know about receiving a large international wire transfer. Do banks care? Also, can they raise the WU limits? Mine is 2k, and I need a larger limit than that. I wish they could just "refund" the cc I used to deposit.

Hey Everyone finally joined 2=2 after always browsing this thread and figured I would share my experiences.

Have done 6 checks 2 from east and 4 from north. All have since cleared with no issues. Did one from east with big bank and others with my smaller CU. Did atm and teller at cu with no issues until latest deposit.

They rejected this deposit and said no foreign items allowed in atm deposits. This was annoying at first but they sent it for collections and it cleared in 8 business days so I can be fairly sure this one cleared (I hope)

I have always had good luck with bovada and have also done one WU but after reading current posts may stick with checks. Now if we can just get them to to synchronized breaks for tourneys!

So "big banks" like one that rhymes with face will cash these checks no questions asked? Im getting paid on friday and am browsing these pages to make sure the speeds are still on point and people are still doing this

my bankroll began w/a free $25 from a promo site and i have since grinded the micros for months withdrawing here and there....this will have been my 3rd check from bovada....previously i have had no problems at all depositing checks....the newest check was sent for $50 and when it arrived it was for $50.19 and i assume this was to avoid attention....i deposited the check friday and got a call this morning that i would need to come down and fill out an international currency form or something and that i need to pay a $15 international currency fee n2m canada might hit me w/currency exchange fees....now none of this was a problem until the new montreal envelopes w/the edges u tear....if u ask me the sky is falling =] when i pull off 200-500 as i was planning at the beginning of this coming month i'd like to do so w/confidence...old checks came in USD & the new checks say $ as the amount....i am very proud of these withdraws as i have still not made a deposit and they allow me to take shots in my local brick n mortar tournaments so plz dont insult my petty check amounts =]
