Deposited via App Photo Deposit. I would think this is the exact same as ATM.
Fingers crossed.

Has anyone deposited this way and if so how long til a foreign check clears?
Photo deposit via phone app worked perfectly. Check cleared next business day. I'm gonna hold onto check for at least 14 days.

I wonder how this is gonna play out:

Reloaded my Bovada account about a week ago...
My first 3 tries using my Debit card (both attempted online and via phone call to bovada operator were are either denied or "unsuccessful"....Waited about 30 minutes and tried again on my own simply by using the cashier screen in the client program and it worked.

I noticed yesterday that the amount charged to the debit card (including 4.9% bovada fee) was simply pending on my online banking screen.
I didn't think much about it but the fact that it hadn't been moved from a pending transaction to a posted transaction after that many days was quite odd for my bank's normal online procedure.

Today I logged into my online banking account and the transaction is nowhere to be found either in pending or posted transactions and my overall balance has been adjusted back to as if the transaction had never taken place or simply been "denied".

I wonder what Bovada is going to do here? As of yet they have done nothing.

I have made some decent profits since this deposit, if they deduct the transaction back out of my bovada account surely they will not attempt to take away the monies I have earned based off of this deposit?

This has never happened to me before. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance.

So basically the money went into your bovada account, but it was never taken from your checking account? If that is actually what happened, they will almost certainly catch the error about a week or so after the the deposit was credited to your account.

stop being scared. just dont say it came from gaming.
what are you saying, that you've been making money from an online gambling site for 7 years?

Ultimately yes...
The deposit on Bovada's end was accepted and credited to my Bovada account.
It immediately showed up as a pending charge on my checking account statement...It then staying as a "pending" charge for several days on my checking account statement and has now disappeared altogether.
As of yet nothing has been removed from my Bovada account.

I've never had this happen on any site.

Obviously if somehow the bank determined the charge was connected with online gaming and dismissed it the right thing is for Bovada to remove the original credited amount from my bovada account.

Basically though this would have allowed me to play on "credit" (although not my intention or anything I had control over)...my main concern is that Bovada understands (correctly) how (why?) this occurred and doesn't attempt to penalize me in any way (fund seizure, stop payment on cashout check, etc) for something that I had no control over.

Yeah, it's not my problem if they're stupid enough to post funds that they haven't picked up or received from either WU/a checking account. That's nice that they want to "post the funds as a courtesy" but this is a business.

Hi guys could I get some help..

I was planning on withdrawing a check at Bovada soon but I don't have a bank account. (and I really don't want one) My plan was just to sign it over to a friend and have him cash it for me.
Is anyone else doing it this way and has it been successful? I live in Nevada.

Any feedback on the subject of not having a bank account and cashing checks would be helpful.

Thanks

I'm certainly not gonna pay taxes on winnings that don't come close to covering losses.

Get a bank account or withdraw using another method if you can.

Edit: I don't think the plan you are asking about will work.

This is exactly what was happening over at FTP before thier collapse. They were not even reconciling player accounts which is a sure sign of bad manangement and possibly even more sinister issues at play.

As it turned out, FTP was using player 1's account funds to pay player 2's withdrawals and so on and so forth, so I would think that allowing you to play on money that was never received is not a good sign.

Anybody been making any $$ on this site?

I think I read of someone having a similar issue and bovada just deducted the uncleared deposit amount from their account but they got credit for $ won/lost in the meantime.

Level obv.

I was actually serious. I have been pretty much break even over a very short sample size, but seems to be a ton of variance in the time I've spent on the site.

Glad to be playing online again I can tell you that much.....

UPDATE:

After my online banking statement erased the "in question" charge for several days (both as a pending or normal charge), this morning the charge has re-appeared as a formal charge posted to my checking account.

This was quite tilting.

Actually that happens a lot with non-sketchy transactions.

What happens is that a hold only lasts for so long. Even when the hold goes away, the charge is still there pending it officially being charged to your account, a process that can sometime outlast the hold.

When this happens to me, I always hope "wow, maybe that charge went away and I got that **** for free," but almost always to no avail.

I'm looking at my tracking info on DHL, and instead of "Mr. xxx" it says "Ms. xxx" (Mr. is listed in my Bovada account info), has this happened to anyone before and is this going to be an issue when I go to deposit?

Yes, when I get a check from the north, I get a call from the shipping company with my tracking # and expected delivery time. Fwiw, my last check came at the exact minute the shipping company projected in the call.
