There is really no need to know.

Cards have been hit or miss on gambling sites for years.

Just because his didnt work doesnt mean yours wont and vice versa even from the same bank chains.

Just try the card.

Making sure international transactions arent being blocked like rakeme stated before you give up on the card is a good idea though obviously if you get declined.

Most international checks that bounce do so within a couple of weeks after depositing, but I've heard of cases where they bounce 3-4 weeks after. For this reason I would not spend funds from a poker check until at least a few weeks have passed. If a returned check brings your account negative you could have a lot of problems with your bank.

I called support today and was told that they do not offer free withdrawals via Western Union. I specifically mentioned I heard that I was able to get one freebie a month to which the agent replied that it was not true. Was she incorrect? If so, how can I go about getting this free withdrawal?

I've never heard of a check bouncing after more than 30 days at any reputable bank. 2 weeks is probably fine, 30 days to be extra safe.

once cashed an intertops check for 3k at #FACE bank, funds immediately appeared in my account then took a month to actually clear from canada. then i got charged an international bank fee for like 100$.

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a situation here, and could use some help/advice. Last week, I posted about having some WU problems when attempting to make a deposit onto Bovada. On Friday, August 2nd, I made a $250 WU deposit and money was then credited to my account about an hour or so later. I figured great, everything is fine now, let's play some poker.

Unfortunately, I played bad and ran bad, and lost the entire $250. No biggie, it happens. Here's where the problem lies. Yesterday, I checked my Bovada account only to find a negative two hundred and fifty dollar balance. I thought to myself, what is going on here, CASH cannot bounce! I then checked my e-mail, only to find an e-mail from Bovada telling me to give them a call.

Basically, they never received the $250 from WU, and credited my poker account on good faith. I appreciate that, however I wish they would not have done that. I called Bovada support, and they told me the problem lies with WU. I then called WU, and they said the teller who I gave the cash to made several errors in the transaction. She only used my first and middle name, not my last, and she also sent the money to my city, not the recipients country.

So now I have to go through a process to get my money back. I have to get a notarized letter stating my correct name, and have WU manually change the information. This may take a few days, or even a week or more. I have attached all the e-mails (so far) below. I hope I didn't sound rude, as I always try to be polite and considerate to others. Do you guys think I could get banned from Bovada for this? I certainly hope not, as I am just starting to play MTT's, and they are the only game in town for Americans.

Hello, how are you? What a mess this has turned out to be. I sent $250 cash (via Western Union) last Friday to Bovada to play some poker, and thought everything was fine because the money was credited to my poker account. This morning however, I logged in and noticed a negative balance in my poker cashier.

As it stands, there seems to be some kind of problem with my Western Union transaction. I hope I have not been banned from using their services, as I never mention anything about poker or gambling when I make deposits. Also, I hope I don't get banned from Bovada, as this was completely out of my hands, and I love you guy's software, not to mention you have the best MTT schedule for Americans.

As soon as I get this worked out, I can mail you an international money order, or send you cash via MoneyGram. Again, please don't ban me from Bovada, as I want to start playing MTT's, and this was completely out of my control. Came from the east. My bank's ATM assumed the check amount was $0 and asked me to change it to the correct amount. Once I did, it accepted it. If there are issues with it clearing, I'll follow up.

friend just told me that his bank just started allowing cell phone app deposits (pictures of checks) anyone have any experience with this for bovada chex? pretty sure his bank rhymes with e.d. ank. if anyone has done it for other banks or has this one and is going to try let us know.

I have that too for both of my banks, I'll probably just go to the ATM though to be safe. Sort of new technology and it's a foreign check, makes me think there could be an issue for the phone deposit.

i know my buddy also has told me that he tried depositing a bvada cheq via atm and it didn't go through and was sent back to him to go in person to a teller.

ive been going direct to the teller for 7 years and the only issue ive ever run into is when theres a 18yr old noob behind the counter.

they dont know how to deposit random foreign checks. they dont know that the date reads day/month/year. etc. i tell them get the manager, they do, manager deposits.

stop being scared. just dont say it came from gaming.

it's just a matter of convenience. some people have banks that are pretty far from their home.

keep us updated mouano. did you try it with the bank that just added this feature in the last couple days? with the bank mentioned i'm pretty sure checks clear pretty quickly, although it might have something to do with type of acct/balance/etc.
