Cliff's: Wire transfer took a 33 days to hit my bank. Completely unacceptable, imo, but perhaps par for the course in this day and age. I can't prove it, but the whole thing smelled fishy to me. I don't appreciate getting the run-around.
GL to the rest of you, and so long 'dog.
For all of you wondering what a timeline for wires going forward is going to look like, I would suspect that it will go back to the way it was over the early part of the summer. We all know something happened with the people previously processing wires for Bodog for all of last month, but now that we have seen some recent success stories involving wires with quick time frames from request to receiving. I'd say it will go back to the ~1 week wait times it had before... that is, until it gets taken down again at some point, which it will. With the majority of checks being sent out over the last 2 weeks seemingly bouncing, I'd go with the new wire processor until people come in reporting that checks are clearing much more often then not, for at least a week or two.
However, it's probably very likely that once you receive a bad check from Bodog and get issued a second, they are issuing it from a source they know won't bounce, and they seem to be sent rather quickly once you report it bouncing. It does seem that they do require you to prove to them it's bounced, and most banks simply don't seem to provide you with an easy way to show Bodog that it has indeed bounced.
