I followed ETF's setup guide and got all the way to the fee portion of it. I kind of get lost there. Is there a way to view the fee in USD? I am concerned I will pay like $300 on a $1000 transaction. What is in place to prevent a novice like me from doing such a thing? Thanks in advance.

if u go into electrum settings u can tell it to display fiat currency and select usd. that will show some or all of the btc/mbtc values in usd too. i can't remember if it will then show the fee in usd.. it probably will.. but if not, just go to this site and calculate the usd value of the fee after u put it in to make sure it is what u think it is: https://youmeandbtc.com/bitcoin-conv...-satoshis-usd/

It will show the fee in usd. In addresses starting with a 1, you can also adjust the fee using the bar in the middle. For example, my last cash out with the bar set in the middle at 5 blocks, the fee was 29 cents. Sliding the bar to the extreme right increased the fee to 39 cents and the cash out was instantly on my bitpay card. There is also a "parent pays for child" pop up feature, if miners fee is too low and no confirmations have occurred. I accidentally stumbled across this when sending a previous 5 block/39 cent miners fee transaction.

Yuck, i dont like what I am seeing in the forum. I was about to cashout on ignition, seems very complicated compared to the last time I did. When I go to my cashier it shows bitcoin, bank wire, check as options. What is the simplest and quickest option right now guys?

The only thing that has changed with Bitcoin withdrawals is if you are planning on converting the bitcoin to USD using a Bitpay card.

If yes, then you won't be able to use a Blockchain.info wallet. Bitpay has changed their invoices to a format that the Blockchain.info wallet isn't able to send to.

To be able to send to your Bitpay card you would need to use a different wallet. The best choice is Electrum. You can set it up following this guide: https://imgur.com/a/iTxXr

If you plan on converting the bitcoin to USD using an exchange, you don't have to do anything differently than you've done before. Your Blockchain.info wallet will still work.

So is there a benefit to using this bitpay card? I would normally cashout via ignition>blockchain>coinbase>bank account.

Why would we use bitpay card when they can send it to our bank account.

Any info appreciated, its been a while since ive cashed out. Just looking for the best option. Thanks

Bovada is very good at what they do. They think by holding off approving withdrawls most will just play and lose their money this way cancelling out payouts. What a dirty scam. Going on day 11 of a pending withdrawl.

I have made many withdrawals from ignition/bovada. All in a very fast/timely manner. Imo it's by far the best site at paying people with a long history of paying. I'm not sure what process you are using but maybe consider calling them. And if you are afraid of losing your $ then don't play in mean time.

I dont get why it takes 11 days for a bitcoin payout to be pending.

11 days seems fishy, I have never waited more than 2-3 days, not for a long time at least.

The benefit of using a bitcoin debit card - either the Bitpay or Shift cards - is being able to get cash quickly. You can send the bitcoin from your wallet to the card and then use the card at an ATM or store to get cash in hand within minutes.

But using an exchange and having it deposited to your bank is also a great option.

It just depends on how quickly you want the money, whether you'd prefer cash or money in your bank, and whether you want to save a few dollars in fees.

Even if you normally use the exchange to bank account method I think it's a good idea to have one of the cards as a backup option in case your exchange account is closed, or you ever end up wanting quick cash.

But yes, if you want to withdraw right now you can still go Ignition -> Blockchain -> Coinbase -> Bank as you've done before.

If you want to save on Coinbase's fees you can set up an account on the full function exchange that they own, GDAX. You'll sign up using the same info and connect it to your Coinbase account. You can then sell bitcoin on GDAX for only a 0.25% fee and withdraw to your bank account for free.

I have made two withdrawals in the last 2 months. One in late Jan and one last week. Both times I received my funds via bitcoin in the less than 24 hours.

i just went to cashout, saw that they now have bitcoin cash available for withdrawals. I've followed this thread closely for a few weeks, haven't seen a single mention of anyone using it. Any of u cashed out using bch?

Now that btc miners fees are down under 20 cents, i don't know if there's any reason to use bch. (I believe bch miners fees are practically zero.) ETF, any thoughts?

I accidentally sent my withdrawal straight to Coinbase rather than first routing it through Blockchain. Can someone remind me why this isn't ideal because it seems to have worked just fine?

Requested withdrawal last night and it was processed 8 hours later btw.
