I tell them ebay. Plus sometimes I have the added benefit of making up something cool that I sold when they try to make small talk. I've been going there for years so they know if I have a foreign check what it is.

Yeah. Still nothing. Whenever I request back to back WU withdrawals, the 2nd one has taken 10-14 days. One time they even called me and said there was no estimated timeframe so I could either wait or have a check overnighted.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: other than telling them it's none of their business, you guys are missing out on the sheer awesomeness of the looks on people's faces when you tell them you are a product tester for an adult toy company.

I am literally losing my mind trying to get a wire cashout from Bovada. The customer service has been absolutely atrocious. I use an online bank (synonym for easy) and they use an intermediary bank to receive the wire.

I provided them all of the information for both banks. There were fields for "Account Number" on both the primary bank and intermediary bank sections. So i called Bovada support while filling out the wire form and they told me i needed to put my bank account # in both of those fields.

The original request for payout was made on 6/16 after confirming over the phone that I was entering the details correctly.

On 6/18 they told me it had been approved and was being processed. Then the same day they sent me another email telling me that the bank address was incorrect and that it needed to be the address for my physical local branch. So i called them again and explained that there is no local physical branch. I spoke with a supervisor (Mike), explained in detail the entire situation. He put me on hold while communicating with the payouts team, and then came back and told me that it was all set and they would process the payout.

Then the very next day on 6/19 they send me an email saying
Quote:
"Upon checking your banking details, it appears that the address that you provided for your local bank branch was for their customer service center and corporate location and not the actual physical bank address."
This was the EXACT same issue that I had already discussed in detail the day prior with them and was told that it had been resolved and i was all set.

I called them yet again to discuss this and they again could provide no help. So i sent them another email and copy + pasted the exact details from my banks help section regarding how they receive international wires.

Here is that section of the email i sent to them (with identifying info removed)

Quote:
International Wires:

Since our partner bank is not an international bank, our international wires are routed through INTERMEDIARY BANK NAME. In order to receive an international wire, your bank should send the wire through INTERMEDIARY BANK NAME and must include instructions to further credit PARTNER BANK.

Intermediary Bank Name: INTERMEDIARY BANK NAME
SWIFT: SWIFT #
Intermediary Bank Address: INTERMEDIARY BANK ADDRESS
The Beneficiary Bank: PARTNER BANK NAME
Bank Address: PARTNER BANK ADDRESS
M bank account and routing numbers
Then the worst part... today on 6/20, I receive an email at 12:49pm saying the following:

Quote:
We're contacting you from Bovada Customer Service in line with your payout Reference Number ######## for the amount of $$$$$ dated June 18, 2014 via Bank Wire.

The Bank Wire information we have on file has been confirmed. As such, your payout has been approved and processed. It may take an average of 10 business days before you receive your payment.

Our Customer Service Team is available at service@bovada.lv 24/7 to help if you need anything else.
Great news right? Well as it turns out, not so much. 20 minutes after receiving that email, I received this email:

Quote:
Thank you for your recent payout request dated Mon, Jun 16, 2014 for the amount of US$$$$$$

At your request your payout has been cancelled.
I called them again obviously furious that my payout request had been cancelled as I had not requested this, in fact I had requested the exact opposite.

When I spoke to them last they told me that I needed to provide them with my account # at the Intermediary Bank, which I obviously don't have since it's the INTERMEDIARY bank and not MY bank.

Of course there is no way to speak with the payouts team directly and none of the customer support people have any ability to help figure out what needs to be done to actually process this wire. So now they have put the funds back into my Bovada account and i'm allegedly waiting for a call from a supervisor (which i have yet to receive obviously).

Does anyone have any additional phone #'s or anything to contact someone at Bovada who actually cares enough and has the ability to help resolve this issue? I literally don't know what to do and i'm absolutely furious at their epic incompetence and inability to communicate effectively. I can't even fathom how you can send me an email that says the details have been confirmed and the payout has been processed and then 20 MINUTES LATER send me another email telling me that the payout has been cancelled at my request!?!?!?!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

OneStraw,

Not that it will help much now and I'm assuming things have changed. But when I tried to do a wire 6 months ago I couldn't b/c Bovada said that they couldn't process wires through banks that use an intermediary. I had to open an account at another bank to process it.

GL they'll figure it out eventually.

Thanks buddy, appreciate the kind words. Even a little moral support helps at this point

Just a quick question,

is a 2 week holding period for a smaller check standard if you've never cashed a foreign check at your bank standard?

Just wondering, I submitted a check for deposit at a major US bank for 3000 USD on Friday, June 13th and it still hasn't cleared. I was just curious about the usual time table for a deposit like this

If it got sent to collections (it sounds like it probably did), it's not going to clear until they have the money. Which can take a few weeks.

Just out of curiosity, what does that mean? And how do I avoid it for next time?

This was posted a couple days ago.

It can depend on a variety of things -- the size of the check, the name and location of the bank drawn on, the customer's account standing and relationship with the bank, etc. They just don't want someone cashing a lottery winnings check they got from a Nigerian prince in return for a small "processing fee" that they sent the Nigerian prince.

I've never had a check sent to collections, but I've been a model customer for 15 years at a large bank, have spotless credit, and haven't tried depositing a check over $1000.

none of that actually matters as far as it actually clearing, it's just the banks making the funds available quickly to good customers. the checks can still end up not clearing weeks down the road.
