My check was held at customs in TN for about a week in May, but eventually came Wonder why these are all of a sudden happening.

It cleared customs 1 day after I had FedEx run a trace on it, not sure if that helped or what

I have a check stuck in Memphis TN, too. Since 5/24. I called FedEx and they say it's being held by customs. They took my phone number and are passing it on to customs, who will supposedly be calling within 2 hours.

I immediately called bovada and they said they are having this happen more frequently in the recent past. They told me to tell customs that I'm aware of the envelope being sent to me and that it is a check. They said that's all I should say, or all I should need to say. If the customs agent asks any more about the nature of the check, I'm basically on my own with what I choose to say. Bovada also said not to answer anything I'm not comfortable answering, and should mention nothing of bovada or gambling during the call. Obviously.

Hopefully they don't ask more than 2 questions and I'm not stuck making up some elaborate lie over the phone regarding the nature of my business with this vague company in Montreal.

When did they decrease the max WU cashout amount from $2,000 to $1,000?

Recently for me. Was looking to make a deposit today and it says deposits are not available at the moment and to call customer service.

Just a heads up for everybody using WU and/or check by courier. I cash out WU 4-5 times/yr and check the rest b/c I don't wanna get blacklisted.

I requested my first WU payout in 5 months today @ 2am. I noticed the max which was 2,000 previously went down to 1,000. They cancelled it on me and processed a check instead saying I made a CC deposit and WU wasn't available unless I deposited WU. Not true my last deposit was WU 6 months ago.

Anyways, long story short. They changed their WU policy May 15th. So if your situation is anything like mine you'll have to go through this process of explaining to them you've deposited WU before and would like WU and check available to withdrawal.

All in all, Bovada handles it well again but their WU policy has changed.

I requested a WU withdrawal last week 4/26 and bovada processed it as a check by courier. I emailed them asking to change it back to WU and they said that since I made a majority of my deposits via credit card, that WU withdrawal is not available unless I made a majority of WU deposits. I did get the check in 3 days but still waiting for the funds to clear through collections..

After 4 calls and a Better Business Bureau complaint to FedEx I'm still waiting on my check. No updates or call backs.

I received my check very fast (4/28).. I am still waiting for it to be cleared. The Canadian bank will not talk to me because I am not an account holder. My bank insists it is waiting on them. My Carbon checks have always been payable through New York and funds were instant. I am beyond annoyed.

Yeah if I didn't call them immediately I would've gotten a check as well.

Also, the 1-3 day timeframe for WU has changed to 4-5 business days apparently. Anybody request one recently to verify timeframe?

My check was approved the 21st. It's been chillin in a city in the middle of the US since the 23rd. Hope to see it soon.

Do your banks allow you to 'cash' the international checks we are receiving?

I've always just deposited them and never asked questions. I don't want them showing up on my statements so I was just wondering if this is possible. And yes I will have sufficient funds in the account in case the check bounces so it won't be a liability on the bank.

What is the quickest/most efficient way to get 10k off Bovada?

Nah, it probably has more to do with their recent pulling out of NJ since it happened at the exact same time. They probably figured they'd make the policies (no deposits) the same for both those states. They stated it was a proactive thing, not a reactive one.

I received my check today after 5 business days took it to my bank. They said, "it would not go through" and after the teller asking were I got it from and her sidekick teller asking the same they got the manager. The manager said, "we cannot deposit this check." (something to do with the routing numbers).

Ive cashed atleast 10 checks at this bank, and even cashed one 3 weeks ago the last two were from Canada. Does anybody have any ideas?
