check from north. deposited at teller today. hoping it clears tomorrow like past checks.

pretty sure the collections thing is because of the bank you use on this end, not the canadian banks fault? I've never had a check go to collections.

can someone answer me this question though. Does the check go to collections when you're at the teller (like the teller will say "i have to take this to collections". OR could it go to collections a few days after you give the check to the teller?

Boom. I guess just complain enough to internet cyberspace and things will take care of themselves?

Rechecked my bank acct a sec ago (I had checked earlier today) and the check is now shown as credited in my account. For anyone who runs into this same issue my check didn't get to my bank til Monday so I am pretty happy with a 4 day turnaround.

My bank doesn't have physical branches so I cant accurately answer this question but I mailed my check on a Saturday and on Monday my online statement was showing both the check deposit and debit with a notice that it was being held for collections. Like I said it just went thru for me within 4 days but my bank has always been extremely flexible and generally never has a waiting period for any check deposits (like a lot of other banks do). I'm guessing 4 days isn't the norm.

Are WU really taking an average of 7 days. I may end up canceling because it is ridiculous to pay 200 for a 7 day wait in my opinion, it looks like the checks are even coming faster.

The collections thing is your bank's issue and has nothing to do with Bovada.

The collections is your bank because they aren't big enough to handle the check, its like how some banks use an intermediary bank for international bank wires. In this situation, your bank sends the check to a bigger bank to cash on their behalf. Easiest solution is to find a big bank, most of them can handle these on their own and don't hold them because they are considered par-clearing checks.

I know bank names shouldn't b mentioned but I'm gonna open a acct just to deposit Bovada checks..What banks are easiest to clear Bovada checks? I'm looking at BOA. I hate to call a name, but I've read several pages and found no info, so again, I'm sorry..

Chances are the person who processed your check is a moron.

Different tellers = different levels of experience with foreign checks = different results (I'm not sure what to do, lets send it to collections)

Thats why i always like my checks to come from the east. That way i can just deposit into the ATM no problem they might hold it for a few days but it always never any problems.

FedEx picked it up 4/4. Don't know what took them so long to deliver but whatever.

Just checked and check cleared funds are ready for use in my account !!!!

Based on this post, if you have any problems in the future just tell them the check is from your native country and you should be fine.

anyone on here deposit using WU (Money Transfer)? Is it possible to do this online and not have to go to a store?

Yes you can do it online and just call them with the mtcn.

I was told that you have to do it in person with the green form. Every place I went to had that stupid new yellow form where you have to call WU. I don't understand why you'd take your technology backwards, but that's exactly what WU has done.


Anyway, I made a deposit with MG, was wondering if you can only cash out with Rapid Transfer or if you can use either method.

There were a handful of reports in mid March of WU's taking 10-11 days, hence bringing the overall player-reported average up to 6.33 days for the month. It was an anomaly, of which happens from time to time, as reports in late March were back to the 1-3 day variety.
