checks from the east will go through the ATM for me but not the checks in the north i have to go inside ATM rejects it.

Cashier is down a lot lately due to technical difficulties. Last three times I've checked it over the course of the past two days it's been down. Is this common? I don't check it that much but wanted to make a deposit and play and it's been down.

How were you able to request 7k via check? For most people, including me, the max check withdrawal is 3k.

How long have people waited for their checks to clear? I deposited mine into the bank on the 21st. Funds still aren't available. Is this normal?

I'm still waiting also, I deposited in the ATM at my bank 2 days ago. I called today and they said it takes a few extra days longer than normal for international checks to clear.

Also as a forewarning:

I just deposited my check via ATM, Tuesday. Bank came back to me today saying I have to come in and "sign" a form since it is a foreign check from a foreign bank.

Hope it clears without collections this time or I'm going to go open up a different bank account. Too much fees and too long of a wait.

So b-0-a wouldn't clear it as I suspected. Went and opened a **ase account just now and cleared no problems. They dont send to collections as far as the funds are in usd if anyone else is having problems at other institutions.

Thanks for all the info in this thread or I probably would've just send it for collections and pay a huge fee plus wait a month. Looking forward to grinding now knowing my money will actually clear!

I deposited my check 32 days ago and bank is still trying to collect the funds. I have no doubt the check is good. The process to collect this money is a freaking joke when sent to collections.

So I just received my check from the north.and I have never cashed one.so I have few ?'s.
Overall how do I go about cashing the check?

Do I have to have a bank account to cash check?

I do not have a bank account and most likely cannot get one...how else could I cash it if I don't have a bank account?

where do I say the check is from....couple pple are tellin me not to say where its from...if this is true then where do I say its from??

can someone please help me here?
