I used to go the check route but my bank likes to put an additional 15 day hold on them once I deposit them. So its whatever works best for each person I guess. But like I said before, paying a $ 200.00 fee I would expect a quick and seamless payout experience.

There are 3 newish accounts totally bashing Bovada in the last few pages. Reminiscent of the Manila debacle months back...interesting.

I have had issues w/ WU over the years and that's nothing new with Bovada or any other gaming site. Wire transfers now seem like an issue and imo shouldn't even be an option.

Checks are the nuts. Easy decision.

im not bashing bovada and i am also posting wu info. it is useful for those of us waiting on withdrawls. in this case we are posting about an unusually long wait period for wu withdrawls. if it was just one person than it would be a fluke or circumstantial. however there is a current issue with wu last two weeks and many of us find this info useful, and is part of a large contribution of info people come here for to decide where they want to play and what dep/wd methods are best.

Well said sir. This is the first time I've encountered such a delay with payouts from Bovada. The biggest problem I have is when they charge such a high fee to use a service that is supposed to be the fastest (for large sums) and it turns out that its not at all. Anyone would be upset for paying for premium and receiving sub-standard.

I notice you keep mentioning the fee, did you miss my earlier post about asking them to refund it in the form of an instant bonus if the wait is excessive? Also I went back to read how long your withdrawal has taken and like another poster mentioned, seems it's been about 5 business days.

EDIT: Took my a lil while to find it but here is a post I made ITT back in June 2013 experiencing the same issue as you that was resolved, hope it helps.

Also, just spoke with CS again and the said it's within 48 hours for the payout to be approved, then within another 3-5 business days before the actual payout. So I guess anyone looking compensation for a longer than stated wait time needs to wait at least a total of 7 business days. That's how I understand to be.

One more thing, I was told once the payout has "cleared" we can deposit again but not exactly sure what constitutes cleared because they say my payout has cleared and I can make deposits but I still don't have a control number. Anyway just sharing info.

EDIT- Payout status just went to "approved" in my Bovada account shortly after posting this, so I guess the 3-5 business day window starts now. All good, just want to understand the process and know what to expect.

It is not just a current issue. There has always been issues with W/U withdrawals. Particularly if its your main way of cashing out. Many people get blacklisted from W/U for using this as their main way of cashing out. I would do it 2-3 times per month and each time it takes longer than the other. There becomes a time when they for whatever reason cannot process it any longer or give you the run around. That is when I decided checks were the best option. No new news here this dates back many years.

Its crazy to me that I get such polar service from the same company....

Cliffs-Choose checks yo. Wires are a tradge.

wires are so hit or miss
stick w checks unless it's for a ton of money

+1

my entire last name is banned from western union (both sending and receiving)

a long time ago bodog had one free wu withdrawl a week and everyone sucked at poker back then so it wasn't hard to max it out for 3k
took them about 6 mos to ban me, and another year or so to ban my brother when i was getting sportsbook withdrawls sent to him

its possible we all got banned from wu at the same time. whats much more likely is they are having issues with payouts. the thing i was wondering is if the cashout page being messed up last week is related to this. like it was saying it was down due to technical issues when you opened it up, but if you went to the web page it worked fine. since this happened around the same time i had my first issue with bovada payouts its pretty easy to make the connection. not sure what their issue was but they had some kind of problems with cashouts recently. im just hoping it gets fixed quick!

It seems Bovada blames the processor (Western Union) for the delays. Now if I were to go to WU's website or walk in to a location and want to send money to someone overseas or where ever, it would be done right then and there (depending on what service you choose) and for no more then $ 120.00 fee at most. I understand Bovada deals in large volumes of money transfers but I would think that 6 business days would be plenty of time to process these things. Do you think if I called Western Union they could give me some info about where my money is at? LOL.

My first withdraw came in less than 36 hours for $1050, my keep.

My confidence in Bovada was immediately elevated and prompted me to play more than usual.

My request for withdraw on 3/3/2014 was for much less, $425 my keep after approval. This time I was approved in 15 minutes for withdraw and told 3-5 business days before I can collect from the wu.
Today is 3/13 and I wait patiently .
I have sent 3 emails and the responses have not pinpointed when I should expect a ctrl #. $75 was the fee for the transfer. That was absorbed and "processed" immediately. Why can't our payouts be similar?
I am not broke or in dire need of the winnings, however my several thousands of dollars I've deposited should be reciprocated swiftly , especially on the menial winnings I request for withdraw and time I invest on the site to get these small winnings.
Just venting

they are not bashing bovada in general they are specific to wu withdrawls. the reason that you've noticed that the guys complaining about withdrawls are new accounts is because there are LOTS of people who read 2+2 but never post, i personally read 2+2 for a long time before ever posting. the fact that several people made accounts specifically bc of this situation is a little worrying. i rarely if ever have seen several people create accounts here for the same specific reason.

Just requested my first withdrawal by check. Is it best to deposit it at the ATM or just do it at the teller line?

Not a good sign. If anybody has requested and received any WU payouts recently it would be helpful if they would post their time frames

I requested my first ever withdrawal from Bovada last Monday and it (the check) was on my doorstep Thursday (3 days later). My bank doesn't offer ATM deposit so I just deposited normally (it's from a bank in Canada so it shouldn't be a problem). My bank has not credited my account yet (72 hours later), but hopefully it will not be an issue. I assume they are simply waiting until it clears the bank in CA to be safe.

+1 Like borg said.

Ill take it a step further.

Every withdraw method is vulnerable to delays.

Checks are flying now, but not too long ago they were having troubles and checks were sometimes taking over a month.

Id be willing to bet there will be times in the future again when checks wont be coming in ten days or less like they are now. Maybe then wires will be faster and the better option.

Thats just the reality of serving Americans in todays environment.

I can assure you that most sites would rather cash you out overnight for 1/5 or whatever the price they currently pay via Neteller if they could but that isnt an option.

Does anyone know why bovada can't send checks to NY? They told me its b/c of some state restrictions etc but if thats the case... why do sportsbook like 5dimes, heritage, bookmaker and poker sites like wpn has no problem sending checks to players in NY?

I'm still waiting on a WU that was requested AND approved on the 5th (although funds are still in account). I've been calling in at least once per day and last night I was told that my request was escalated/being given top priority so I should be receiving an update imminently, but that was over 12 hours ago and still nothing.

A buddy of mine requested a MG on the 8th and is still not approved.

My last two MG withdrawals were completed in like a day. And they were recent. Weird.

What do you mean by funds are still in account? Are you referring to the funds your trying to get a payout for are still in your bovada account?
